will an LF zon be a viable mf pit runner?

I'm thinking about making an LF zon, and I was wondering if she'd be viable in pit. I've seen a bit of LI stuff down there, but everytime I've been there it seems to be primarily CI. I dont have very much MF stuff (chancies, 30% ammy, 30% boots, some small charms) but I figure I'll find more as I go along.

The only LIs in the pit are archers but they can be pretty annoying though. Lightning strike and charged bolt work better in the pit IMO since the monsters tend to cluster around. I've got a LS/CS zon for the pit and she works very well. Just let your merc/valk handle the archers.

if u want to mf with a LF based zon there are some easier LI free places

cows :d - the cow king is always LI so "accidentally" killing him takes serious stupidity - but if u use another char to open, your merc/valk can kill him for the drop.
pindle - he can be LI but his minions aren't so valk+merc can kill him
eld & shenk - there can be LI's here once in a while - but this area is so quick to get to you can just make a new game or kill the one boss you can get to with LI's

I took my LF'er pit running, she did ok, but other zon's/chars do it better.

so she is viable, other places are more viable for her, and other chars are more viable for the pits

Ok, thanks for the tips guys. I think I'll make her with pit runs in mind, and just put a point into jab. Between me jabbin' away, my merc, and my valk, I think I can deal with any LIs in pit. I'll also try Pindle with her.

My lightning fury zon is fine running the pits... i use valk a merc (holy freeze) an one little skill called Slow Missles!! i never used this till i actually tested it in the pit. Those archers were a pain... 3 things i use will take them down Real Fast now...they're slowed from holy freeze, my merc uses decrepifying reapers toll, and slow missles. they're soo slow they can barely move let alone shoot, and if they get a shot off, Its moving so slow from Slow missles that i can literally run around it. I don''t need dodge/avoid/evade to do it for me,lol. I do suggest having plus to skills in the passive tree... one in each,and after plus skills and a valk, you'll be pleased with results.

Zons own in cows/pindle magic finding IMO... the range of lightning fury is so beautiful, and Lightning strike and charged strike compliment it so well.

That's another thing, mercs. I can't decide between holy freeze or defiance. Right now though I'm leaning towards holy freeze.

I've never used a Defiance Merc... My experiences with a holy freeze merc on more than one character type just leaves me usually always going with the Holy Freeze. When properly leveled they can be great companions and tanks. With some pretty good top notch equipment these guys can survive... a long time... The highest i've ever gotten a character is lvl 86... once you get past level 83 with a Holy Freeze merc and some good gear, they're just awesome IMO.

i have lvl 83 mf lightning zon
she wears skulders p topaz (i want enigma so i can tele baal and meph), war travs, raven, nagel, maras, valk wing (looking for shako), +2 zon 20 ias rare gloves, thundergods, thunderstroke, 2 p diamond mosers, and shael wf
she runs pit with ease
i devastate everything with lf and use shael wf on switch with max guided and might merc 2 kill the archers (usualy 2-3 hits K.O.s)
sometimes i kill them with lvl 1 jab and it take sabout 1-2 seconds per archer so no problem with them
i kill pidle and his pack with 3-4 lf (1800 damage now)
shenk dies with 2 furys
i also killl meph and baal/baal minions in notime with charged strike if someone teles i am 2 lazy 2 run them :D

Aight thanks. Yeah my zon will be using a p-topaz skullders, Mara's, War Travs, +2 to spear/jav 20% mf rare gloves, Nagel, Ravenfrost (as soon as I get one), Thundergods, and Razortail.

Also, I've decided to go with the holy freeze merc. Thanks for all the tips, everybody.

Defiance merc with "DOOM" runeword... you get the def bonus and holy freeze..
