Monster Curses

I'm trying to find out at what level do oblivion knights and similar casting monsters cast their curses at?

It would be nice if we could make a listing like this:

Example:

Monster_________Curse_______Level (N/NM/Hell)
Oblivion knight____Iron Maiden______1/8/15


Note: These number are NOT real, its an example. In fact these are the specific numbers I'm looking for.

I've searched the forums and couldn't find anything. The best I got to was a link in the Darkness monster website. The link is supposed to lead the 'Monster spell attributes' or some such, but the link is broken :grrr:

Well, I know it's not what you're looking for but I'd figure I'd let you know an effort has been made.

When a monster's cursed... that Amplvl they cast is (monster level / 4 )

I took a look at the MPQ's and the copy I looked at was just so misplaced that it takes a better man than I to decipher what is needed... Found the right file (monstats.txt)... and the right place... Just couldn't pinpoint the stats needed. Sorry about that.

If you're really interested in testing... you can always go get purposely cursed... measure the duration and compare it to see the level. Lower Resist will of course bring your Res down... not hard to see it in that situation. Of course... the info is all in the game code and I'm sure someone else will be able to pick it out.

We need difficultylevels.txt and monstats.txt, first we take a look at monstats.txt:
Row 313 is the Oblivion Mage from act4, and row 704 should be the Oblvivion Knight from act5.
Row 476 to 480 are those curse *****es.
Row 545 is Baal sitting on his throne.
Row 546 is Baal himself.
And row 572 is his clone.
Did I miss any?

Now we go to the columns Skill1, Skill2, etc. I'll use that lazy Baal on his throne as an example.
He has Decrepify as his first skill, and the Slvl is 5. But that is only in normal. Difficultylevels.txt has the Slvl adders (MonsterSkillBonus) for NM and Hell. It's +3 in NM and +7 in Hell.
Baal Corpse Explode is his second skill, but since that's not a curse we ignore it.
Defense Curse and Blood Mana (:grrr: ) are his third and fourth skills. They have Slvl 3 in normal, Slvl 6 in NM and Slvl 10 in Hell.

Now you can do the rest I hope :)

Edit: MonCurseCast is for all the other curses Oblvivion Knights cast, they have the same Slvls.

RTB... I can tell you exactly why I couldn't find it.

I don't have Excel... Makes things difficult when looking at things through Notepad and Wordpad.... Things just weren't lined up so I jsut had a mass of barely organised numbers and words...

Now that I broke out the Quattro Pro I'm in a MUCH, much better position.

Columns... So much easier than slanted random numbers... can't say exactly why... :rolleyes:
