Bone Hew for my Merc: Ideas for Socketing it!

Now my merc is lvl 75. He has life steal, so no amn needed..........other than ed% jewels with a nice 2nd mod, what else could i put into the 'hew?

I found a nice fire facet & threw that in there.......

Why put a fire facet in bone hew? It doesn't deal any fire damage so there's nothing for the jewel to work with.. Or am I missing something? :scratch:

I believe an ETH in it would allow the guy to hit stuff more often.

i think a shael will allow it to pass bonehew's next breakpoint (i think)

The next bp for an ogre axe are at 35%ias and 56% ias (according to D2ii.net) Including the 30%ias on Bonehew, that means a 2 good ias jewels will get you there. Alternatively, just stick with 2 shaels until you find better jewels, maybe high elemental damage ones.

in nm maybe, in hell mercs are BOTD or other massive dam or your dead if depend on a 14% I can get from COT to leach in hell. If you can make a BP fine otherwise forget speed - Mercs need Prevent heal, leach FHR +life(lvl based best) -+regeneration + dam Elemental dam and damagex or effects.

usually ppl Shael (for next bp) and Amn (for LL) bonehews, you say u have enough LL already, imho a merc can't have enough. i do the killing, he does the staying alive :D

my merc uses weak items, with exception of weapon, its about merc management, he uses blackhorns, balrog skullders, eth reaper toll. only hydra can kill him

use shift to have him drink pots, i would pt ll in that bonehew if u dont got ll somewhere else,
