BotD Eth CB vs BotD Eth Zerker

Which ones better, BotD Eth Collosal Blade or BotD Eth Berserker Axe?
And for what reasons :D?

Zerker.

Same Range. Same Speed.

Higher Average Damage with Zerk. Higher Max Damage with Zerk.
(Barely lower Minimum Damage with Zerk)

Zerker has lower requirements. (By a fair amount)

wowow... it aint as easy as that.... :scratch:

as a 1 hander... the zerker is better, no doubt about that.

however if you go WW with a barb, you WILL encounter casters. versus these guys/girls you could choose NOT to use a shield, since blocking nor defence will help a thing. the only thing a shield could be usefull for is for resists. and versus a bonemancer that doesn't apply either.

what you can do with a swordbarb is putting your shield in your stash, and fight with a 2 handed weapon... thus greatly increasing your damage output (and making the hits you land count HARD). with a zerker this is NOT an option.

so by choosing the sword you loose a little dmg, but you gain flexibility.

since i think you are going to run into a LOT of casters out there... this might, or might not, be worth the (small) sacrifice to you.

and then there is that think called looks that some ppl tend to bother with. the swordt seems to look much cooler then the axe, aldough this won't help you win any battles, some people think its important.

i just looked up some various stats on both the items, and it seems the zerker has exactly the same stats (besides like 1% of life leech), but is stronger in damage, with 2 hand however the CB is stronger by 40-60 attack points

but wouldnt u want two dual equip for more helpfull mods on a second weapon,and twice the hits?

that of cource is an option only if you can afford 2 of these babys. in that case 2 zerkers would be better again.

frankly the best option for a WW barb versus casters is none of these options. it is way better to get a 2 handed polearm or spear, for the range, and thus the chanche that you catch them increases. this however makes you have mastery problems, since versus melee you will want your shield, and thus use axe or sword.

Eh, the stats on BOTD are random, the weapon you make them in have no effects on the modifiers at all.

I think they're discussing perfect BotD...I could be wrong. Is it a 1 in 200 to get one? (400% + 15 ll?) And how much does one of these go for, or where can I find the answer to that question? Just curious, ladder value...

also something to keep in mind -- every class can use a BotD Zerker, but precious few can use a 2-handed BotD CB. Given a choice I would always make it in a zerker axe.
