BOTD-CB-WW Baba help!

Hi, i am finally able to afford a high botd CB (2 sojs). And now i am gonna make a whirler. I figured since my IK baba pwnd all PvM and even some PvP (vs casters) , this guy would be even better. Anyways, here are some questions:

1. Is this a good setup?:

Weapon: Botd CB (380% + hopefully)
Armor: Levi 47//22 (gonna Um it) || or UP'd Shaft
Shield: SS (gonna Um it)
Helm: Arreat's Face (gonna um it)
Belt: String // or Verdungo's
Rings: 1. 219/19 raven. 2. Manald Heal (7%) // or Angelic ring
Ammy: Angelic ammy // OR Highlord's wrath
Gloves: Dracul's // or Soul drainers
Boots: Gore rider's

Plz make suggestion on the setup as i am new to this type of baba

2. Where should i allocate my stat points??

Str: Enough to use equips
Dex: None
Vitality: Rest of points
Energy: None

3. If 0 Dex, where am i getting all my AR from??

4. Skill point spread?:

- 20 Whirlwind
- 20 Sword Mastery
- 20 Battle Orders
- 20 Shout
- 1 Battle commands
- 1 Berserk

Plz plz make suggestions on Setup, and skill & stat allocation because i am really eager to get this barb up and running.

It is on the verge of pointless (exxageration) to use the shield if you are not going to alot some points into dex to gain the substantial blocking bonuses. also, dex is going to help your AR which with your present setup could be a problem...

and FYI in case you don't already know. they maximum damage reduce that you can have is 50%, so plan accordingly. if you are going for pvp use the levithian and shield but if you are going for pvm use the uped shaft and rock the botd cb without the shield and you will surely be fine.

another element is your life leech... the cap here is 25% life leech so i think you should consider using verdungos for the extra life (+ vit) versus string of ears beacuse both belts give you the DR that you need but you would likely be over the cap with the string wasting the ll on it.

i have never really played ladder but this is all accurate from what i hear. I have a similar barb in non-ladder who absolutely rocks here's his setup, it might be helpful.

dual leecher with 32 mf and resists

insane crafted ammy with + skills, resists, str, life, dex, dual leech//viper torc ammy (rare that gives +2 barb and 48% mf)

and then skills:
20 sword
20 WW
20 Zerk
20 BO
8 shout
8 iron skin
8 r/w
some to nat resist (2-4)


this build works quite well, this barb both MFs and duels problem is his stats which i might like to change alittle but o well too late:

450 str with items!!!!
150 def with items
235 vit with items
base energy

probblem is my life...
with lvl 34 bo i have like 2500 life which sometimes puts me in tight spots, but Uber damage is what i get out of this titan build....

ww max dam (when using just sword): 10K
zerk max dam(when using jsut sword): 14K

You need the dex for both your block...and your attack rating. Otherwise...it seems like a good enough build.

Yea, i made some changes to the build. Since the DR cap is 50% and SS + my Verdungo's gives me 48% dr, there is really no need for levi or upd shaft. And since i can't afford an enigma :S im gonna use Stone armor. (60% FHR, All resists +15, All attributes +16, and decent def). Could you guys tell me your base Dex's because I wanna know how many points i should put into it until my block rate is maxed with SS.

You have to have 222 dex at level 99 for max block with stormshield.

You're living in 1.09. That is overkill on DR% as it is capped at 50% in 1.10 and unless you plan on tanking for minutes in front of bosses or something 15-30% should be more than enough. This is due to the fact that high life and resistances are far more important than DR in hell for a barb (battle orders HELLO!?).

Yea, my only two DR items will be SS and a 33/13 verdungo's. about 48 dr in total. Ive swapped levi 4 Stone armor (cant afford enigma/coh atm) for the 60% FHR, all resists +15, & 1900 def. Anyways here is my BOTD build.
Here are my future base stats (around lvl 80):

Stat Points:
136 base str - Highest item is 196 str Stone hellforge armor. Get str bonuses from Arreats, 20 str, then can wear SS, 30 strength, then Botd, 30 strength so it would end at around 220 non-base strength allowing me to use all my equipment by lvl 73.

130 base dex - For AR, as well as block rate

200+ base vitality - I should have around 200+ base vit by the time im level 80 or so.

0 energy - Not necessary. BO will get mana at around 200-300, plus i have 7% mana leech from botd.

Skill points:

20 Whirlwind
20 Sword Mastery
20 Battle orders
20 shout
1 zerk
1 Battle commands
1 nat res
1 faster R/w

Equipment:

Helm: Arreat's face (um)
Armor: "Stone" hellforge plate
Weapon: 361/13 BOTD CB (lol, bad % , i kno) swap: 2x +3 cry spears
Shield: SS (P-diamond)
Gloves: P-Dracs
Boots: Gore riders
Rings: 219/19 raven , Angelic ring
Ammy: Angelic ammy // Highlord's
Charms: Resist all GC's, Life vita charms


Plz make any suggestions. I need some input.

that looks alot like how my baba is build.
min str dex for max block and max vit altough my base str is only 92 ( only ?? )
my baba is lv 91 now has about 41x vit 22xstr 219dex. And after maxing bo shout mastery rest in iron skin.

swap the res all GC for steel gc/ or life sc You wont need more res with arreat and the anja Q and stone with SS
amu and ring use + baba skil amu and maybe bul as second ring.
only use angelic when you duel high def charecters ( baba pala)

why use draculs on a whirler? the open wounds is its only upside, couldn't you consider something else? since dracul seems to lose its obvious edge in conjunction with whirlwind

yea i know but i dont have steelrend anyway. And 185 str hmmm think if i switch dracula i cant equip my stuff when i die :lol: hmm got about 6 extra str hmm so if i lose dracula il be 9 to short on str :P

but there nice gloves so once in awhile lifetap kicks in from wacking with conc... ( during PVM)

beside dracula and steelrend i dont see any other options... maybe soul drain ??? they dont look any good to me... or pair 1337 crafted glove... hmmm wonder what stats they should have than...

with this setup i get maxed res, awesome defense, 3k life, 4-6k conc dmg. although depending on the situation i might switch some items for more leech.
