Fellow mancers,

I was wondering if anyone knew the best place to find a homonculus or arm of King Leoric (fighting not trading please)?? I recently started playing again, and I don't know many of the areas or drops now that 1.10 is out.

I enjoy reading all of your posts, and have learned much through this forum.

Thanx in advance,

Vistar/MisterMinionMan

I got King Leoric from a MF Sorc Pindle run (roughly 400 MF and a total of about 100 or so runs)

Homunc. I traded for.

Though, I'd hit the normal areas for MF runs, there is no specific place that will drop certain items, so doing as many MF runs as possible is my only real suggestion. :)

original poster: griswold in hell has the highest chance to drop both of those items.

jay20016: please don't post mis-information ilke that. there are ways to 'hunt' specific items. if you know who has the highest % to drop 'x' item, just repeatedly kill that monster over and over to get your item. i do it constantly. my mf runs can at times take 45+ minutes, because i'm busy hunting down only certain types of characters. sounds like a pain in the butt, but when it pays off you'll be happy.

Gav, I mean no disrespect, but even with those tables I've yet to be looking for something and actually have it drop from that monster I kept going to. I guess I'm just going by my experience, but I always tend to get the good items when I'm not looking for them, from a workhorse of MF runs(Meph, Pit, Pindle, etc.)

Besides, the difference in drop ratios can be quite minimal between who has the highest chance and say Hell Meph, Baal, or Diablo. I don't think saying "hit up the popular" MF spots is any sort of misinformation, as what drops is based largely on luck. Sure, there are lvl requirements, but if you do a pit run, you're pretty much guaranteed to meet those requirements. I in no way said any thing that was misinformed...

Sure, it might not have been the "perfect" answer, but going on my personal experience, targeting one specific monster either takes too long (as you have pointed out) or is too fickle to reap the rewards that I seek. I still stand by my advice that hitting a proven MF area is far better than spending 20 minutes singling out a guy in the Frozen River for a .00001 better percentage of dropping that Unique Necro Shield. The Meph run could give way to an SS or something of that sort, which has happened to me and I feel is a much better use of my time...

jay: sorry for my outburst. your right, if you want general items then go on the standard mf route. if you are in DIRE need of 'x' item. just hunt for it. the thing i love about gris's fatass is that he can drop great in hell, and nobody touches him.

here's a trick:

Make a hell cow game. Someone will guarateed get the leg, and leave grizz alone. while they start the level, go kill grizz. or kill him while you get the leg.

He's not like meph, nobody targets him.

He's also not too bad in NM, having the chance of dropping at least 1 item of Hell calibre.
