I need help w/ my PvP WW Barb Gear

I dueled alot in 09 with my whirly barb and when 1.10 came out I quit dueling for awhile to mess around with new builds on ladder. I now want to come back to PvP, but all of my gear is outdated and so I'm just wondering what good gear choices would be. Also, I can probably trade for good gear, but dont list anything like a BoTD, because I will not be able to afford that anytime soon. This is my current gear:
Fury Balrog Blade
Stormshield
Arreat's Face(w/ 38%ed jewel)
Shaftstop/Guardian Angel(w/ UM rune)
String of Ears/Thundergods
IK gloves
War Travelers
Raven Frost
Rare Ring w/ leach and cold res
Cresent Moon Amulet(duel leach unique ammy)
on switch I have two echoing glaives
my charms are an assortement of vita, psn and inertia charms nothing too spectacular. So what looks good and what needs to be replaced?

Well, damage reduce is maxed out at 50% now, so you won't need your shaftstop. You can get max damage reduce with your ss and string. But I'd try and replace the string with a verdungo's since verdungo's has the damage reduce you need as well as a nice vitality boost. The Fury Balrog Blade probably won't cut it since the eth bug is gone. My concentrate barb uses:
Arreats
SS
Beast Ettin Axe
Enigma
Dracul's (wish I had Steelrends)
Gore Riders
String (wish I had Verdungo's)
Raven frost
can't remember the other ring and ammy

Belt to Verdungo's, gloves to Steelrends, ammy to Highlord's Wrath (as leech was nerfed in pvp, so CM sucks for it), with 2 angelic rings and the ammy in the stash for high defense enemies. Consider trying Gore Rider boots, and replace the rare ring with something like another raven, bk ring, or a rare dual stat/ar ring. Armor, try to score an enigma archon or dusk shroud, and then of course BotD and a lot of 3/xx/xx charms and annihilus. That's the typical pvp set-up these days. Oh, and ed/str damage jewels in the helm/shield.

is that really true? with a good dmg wpn u'll get more dmg with bonus %ED rather than max dmg?

No, it's not really true. 10 mastery charms will give you 100% damage, which is like 550 or so on a good BotD. 39 3/xx/xx charms will give you around 1200+ damage, depending on your ed modifiers (mine give me a total of 1326 damage) along with a ton of ar and upwards of 1600 life after BO. Sure, the mastery charms will give you a small bit of resists and a defense boost, but the life, huge ar, and massive damage more than make up for it.
