ive recently been doing numbered runs. started from 1, and now up to 1800. the game names are just that: numbers. 1....2....3.... but when i got to 666, it said game was already made. when i reached 1k, i started again at 1. when i reached 66 for the second time, same thing happened.

now whenever i'm on, i try to make a game with that name, but so far ive failed.

is there a hidden d2 cult somewhere?

People often just make random games and, since 666 is a rather well-known number, a game by that name will generally have been made by someone. I used to have numbered runs such as "pindle1", "mf1", "meph1", etc. Sometimes, similarly named games will have already been made. Sadly, it was a softcore non-ladder person who was making them all, so I could never join and see who it was.

In short, there is no "Diablo 2 cult". Someone just needs a name for their game.

Only game I know can't be made is 'kkk' (was doing aaa->bbb->etc)

I suppose other games with similar offensive names (**** ?) can't be made as well.

I doubt, however, that 666 would be one of them.

Hi xey, i have noticed that too when i played. almost sure it was softcore when it happened just cuz i tried joining the game and said xpac character cant join non xpac games or something of one of them messages.

It is my game, I always make 666/something for mule game and it is up all the time. :)

I remember that kkk and many others were cencored, but there is one word I don't get... what the hell is kike (or keki, can't remember which one it was). Atleast on Europe realm it is censored, anyone know what it is?

Go to dictionary.com and enter your first spelling. Thats probably why it's banned, esp more in europe, although I would think it would be banned on USeast and West too.

it is a racial - or actually religious slur. Very naughty and rude, repeat it not.

You can make some fairly nasty game names - I had to remove friend who kept making disturbingly graphic games. It was distracting to keep saying "ewwwww" :scared:

It was distracting to keep saying "ewwwww" :scared:It's amusing to occasionally see people write i.e liek#!¤&nttä which should read leikkikenttä, means playground in finnish, there are many other words like that too but can't think of any other right now, not that common but every once in a while...
