immunities and cutting them

i've been hearing about talk of cutting monsters immunities, and am wanting to get something straight. would having deaths web, 3 pieces of trangs, and LR cut a monsters posiion immunity? That's ~ -125% poison resist right there.

From what I know, as long as it didnt have over 125% immunity to poison it should.

IIRC the -resists on Trang's can't break an immunity. You need LR to break it and then Trang's will lower it. So a monster is immmune if it has more than 113% poison resist.

what part does deaths web play? does it help break immunities, or just help lower it?

IIRc it only helps to lower the resists.
