Immortal King : Strength versus Vitality

I have to go soon so apologies for the short post but : what, in your opinion, is more important to an IK Whirlwind Barb? Vitality or Strength?

i think vit. is more important because while you WW you cant use pots, so what would str. help you unless your a titan.

I would get a good amount of str, enough to ride the maul off your other pieces. Then a few in dex, and dump a major portion in vit. With charms and 2x echoing weaps I hit 3.2K or so life and can go through hell with little problems (minus Iron Maiden :cheesy: )

Anyways, vit is more important for every barb nowadays, since leech resistance was implemented, and the leech nerf was put into pvp. For an IK barb, you only need 186 str at most, since you get 45 from the belt and gloves, which brings you to 232, which is the requirement for the armor. After that, pump vit.

Alas, my subtle attempt at humor has been misunderstood. Here's the long answer:

Either way you do it, you end up with basically the same char: a pretty good pvm char that only dies to iron maiden. There is some variance from charms, rings, ammy, but that's it. there's no way around dying to iron maiden, as all the slots are taken.

so, having a long explanation to answer this question is meaningless as it comes down to purely personal preference:

"do YOU like str or vit better?"

so, i put "str." made perfect sense to me, as str is equally useless as vit on an ik barb. you could have restated the question:

"when you flip a coin, which side do you hope comes up?"

there is as little variance between ik ww barbs as a coin toss.

I dont even have 187 base str with mine, charms and such get me to where I need. Everyone tells me all the time that I'm not wearing armor, but I have the aura. It's kind of strange getting asked what set I'm wearing.....
