how(and why) does he appear? i look at the faqs and there was nothing so i hope its ok that im asking. i ask on b.net alot but no one tells me anything..

He comes when a certain amount of sojs has been sold on the server you're connected.

That "certain" number of SoJs changes from day to day so if DC spawns at "608 SoJs sold" one day, don't expect him to show up at "608 SoJs sold" the next day.

Your best bet is to stay on the realms a long time (say, three or more hours) to increase the likelihood of catching DC in a spawn cycle.

Actually, that "certain" amount of Sojs doesn't change.

75 Sojs have to be sold on a server to reach 'Minimum Sojs Sold'

After the 'Minimum Sojs Sold' has been reached - the DC has a chance to be spawned at every Soj sold.
125 Sojs till Maxium.

So between 75-125 Sojs - the DC WILL spawn.

After the DC has spawned the counter resets but the Soj count stays the same. Thats why you see the Soj count at '872' Sojs sold' etc .

its really just luck man...there are the few people that actually try to find servers and **** but if you join enough hell games he will eventually come for you. But if you find a hell game where you see the counter rising i would suggest waiting untill it says "Diablo walks the Earth" that is when you know he is in your game...we will spawn at the next unique monster you see in the game....good luck
