I made a bonemancer just for pubby duels. This is his equip:

Helm: Jah 08 valkwing
Body Armor: Breastplate Enigma
Shield: Homonculus
Belt: Arachnid Mesh
Boots: Marrowwalks
Glove: Magefists
Weapon: 39 Hoto or Wizzy
Ring1: Eagle Turn (10 fcr, 21 resists, stats, common classic dupe)
Ring2: Eagle Turn or Soj or Bk or Ravenfrost
Ammy: Rare necro ammy with 2 skills and stats or Mara

So with this setup which would be better, Hoto or wizzy? With the hoto setup Im forced to use 2 fcr rings and the maras. With the wizzy setup I can use a bk ring or soj and my rare necro ammy. However I would lose 2 to all skills. In either setup I have 125 fcr and max resists in hell. So which setup would you use?

use wizspike it gives u a huge ammount of mana/mana regen and nice res. Hoto offers +3 skills which is nice but i would take mana +res over that. i think wizspike is underated. with wizspike u can use bk,like u said, which gives nice life bonus and +1 all skills. So really your only missing +2 skills and that really isnt making much of a difference.


edit: btw how much did u pay 1 of those rings?

Use both, hoto for nonelementals, wiz for elementals.

when you hit the bp and max resists it becomes +2skills vs. mana

I would say to just try them both and see how you fare and build a preference as neither is a poor choice

I rather like the wizzy because it gives insane resists (in addition to nice fcr, and great mana). I have a jeweled ladder wizzie, +90% resist all! Very nice

My guess would be the availablity of wizspike compared to the availability of vex and ist runes. Hell, if I had a vex right now, I'd be sitting it in the 4 socket flail in the bank with the rest of the runes for hoto :grrr:
