I'd like to play today night for a bit but I'm not sure at which time, I'll be around at 9pm cet probably, if you guys are there I'll be most glad. :)
Currently my biggest problem is resists, I can't really go to nightmare - my resists are going below 0 on fire and cold and no way I can fight like that, one shot of the shamans and I might die . . . so I'll wait for someone stronger to join me to start it and meanwhile try to find something that gives me more resists on normal.
If someone has rockstopper (sp?) or Duriel's idling I'd be REALLY happy :p
My biggest needs are something that gives resists (anywhere) and 2 x shael for my bow.
Let's hope this thread works :)
Frygsie, what kind of bow are you using? Right now I have some items that may help you out (nothing that has any resist really) in terms of killing power.
I'll be needing some help with ac2 as well, since Duriel is bloody cold immune.

I'll be playing a bit today, but I have exam later in the evening, so can't play that much. Dunno about very later...
I'm heading Andy hell solo, but it sux big time...two shots and I'm dead and lit immunes are all over the place :(

Ipity, that Fireskiller is coming to great use and also the other stuff i got. I manage to have maxed lightning and poison res in NM and the other too close to 70 (thanks to razorswitch staff)
I'd like to play today aswell. I will be doing some hell-baalruns on sc with soep for finding gcs or scs but otherwise i would like to get my hc-char more going.
She's lvl46 now, but can take on NM games already pretty well.
I can help with Act2. Duriel will die in FB and Meteor pretty fast i think ;)

I'm lvl 35 now doing normal baalruns.. max reses and 850:ish life with bo..
My damage sucks so NM is a little boring.. Need a better sword. :-/
I'm lvl 55 with maxed fire, lightning and cold resist. Poison in the high 50s (in NM btw), with about 700 life and I still don't dare to venture any where past Act 2 sewers NM :lol:

My bow is a kuko, it's not that I can't kill things (I can, I am using strafe + freezing arrow) but I can't get elemental hits on nm, 1 hit = die... my life is about 290, not enough to fight decently.
Meli, that shael is VERY welcome, anyhting that makes me kill faster is a big help :)
If I can get that Duriel from Toorn, I can then fight decently on nm. Thanks for the tip ipity ;)

Resists now on normal are 25, 18, 75, 65 or something like that, now you know why I can't get to nightmare alone :xrollseye

My latest one, SillyDruid, is lvl 23, rushed him to act5 but he's still killing stuff on act3 to get decent experience. He also has just about all of his skill points left as I can't decide what to make of him. Just have cyclone armor (and preq arctic blast) and oak sage. I need to decide what to make him since he's having trouble killing stuff without skills. But I'm available to join tonight with him, especially if I can decide where to put the skills to be actually able to kill things in a party.
Mupp, I can check some sword for you later today. 1 or 2 handed?

A bowazon is really meant only to play in parties, no shield = very difficult to survive . . .
And people, don't forget to subscibe to the thread, otherwise it might be difficult to keep up with it!

It's called Heart of Wolverine (HoW) (http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/skills/druid-summoning.shtml#heartofwolverine), and they're spirits, or amoebas as I like to call them. :p
But HoW sucks. :( Too low on the damage boost. Oak Sage (http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/skills/druid-summoning.shtml#oaksage) would be better for some more life and a Fana or/and Conc paladin to boost damage.

Wolf is good since you can have lots of life and you can have HoW or Oak Sage at the same party too . . . any of which helps a lot.
And they have those sooo nice bears to help them, much better than the valkyries (which are anyway good already).
I'd help anybody who wants to do a pally to get to a higher level, at least in normal - say until lvl 40 in normal or so? I really think they make lots of difference if we can keep the original idea of partying.

He's bringing the trout with him? I'm a bit hungry you see and I know he likes it when I eat his trout. Well anyway, he's going with vengeance pally idea? That's exactly what I killed but I do think the conviction helped quite a lot the casters in the party. I can throw him some of the equipment of my previous pala, those have some mana leech but I really would've needed more. I have some of it and Iva has the rest.
I'm most "advanced" in hell.
With quests yes but with char i'm most advanced.. max resists and 85 lit max
2756 life and 60% blockchance,,, def around 8k and ar also high.. 30% dam red and enough leech i rock,,

Also i have started a fire sorc for mf runs.. lvl 15 now lvled in 20 mins or so,,

I don't see many ways I can improve my life from the 296 I have now, so I really need to be behind other people who do the actual face-to-face (that's why me and Muppy's baba worked so well).

This sorc will run meph like 1000 times each day... i know i dont really have life but i love to d2 :teeth:

Let's give little update on BurnSmilieBurn; he's in act 5 NM bit mfing on Shenk/Eldritch. Has maxed Fissure and Geddon, next task is to max Grizzly. Prolly not the best skill, but as I said before; elemental/summoner and I'll stick with that. Tho the Grizzly is darn good tank; at level 12 1.3k life and add Oak to that.
Will mf little more, maybe later today play act 5.
Edit: Is there any lit sorcs in our group? Found +2 Lightning skills / 72 life amu, lvl req 30(!).

Toorn...I think you get it :D I maybe most advanced in quests, other than that...it's pretty sad from my part...:( I did kill andy by myself, but wasn't easy...
I go leveling now my necro, I may have leasure day tomorrow and I can enter it to nm easily tomorrow if I don't die. That should provide nice meat shield and I promise that if I catch few of you nm enterers, I advance with you then :)
Btw, Kooki may start hc also. I promised some gear for him and maybe you others have some "crap" also for low levels...
I have reached lvl 30 by now.. I think i will go on to 40 and then ill quit for today lvling and start to mf some hours..

update on my situation: haven't got around to play the last few days so I'm still stuck with my zon at lvl 10 but the good news is is that I'll probably be able to play for some time tomorrow. I'll just log in and enter the etf channel on bnet and then start playing. If you wanna kill together just give me a whisp when you see me enter.

I think we could play a bit earlier. Lets see what the others have to say.
Last night went smootly and i think we got some of the lower lvls closer to the few in the higher lvls ;)
Baalruns were a real breeze i must say. Fast and nice. You could even talk while blasting the minions and with no fear of death in sight. Lets just stay cautious.
I'd rather get my Meteorb up to lvl70-80 fast and start mfing then. This will speed up the process considerably.
toorn: i see you are offering another tals amu on hardcore forums? That Amulet is about the best thing next to Maras you can have. I'd rather keep it or are you counting on finding another one? You might stumble over the other Tal's pieces you know?

My druid is lvl 30 and I was helped by the others through act5 yesterday, thanks to them. Some gear muling and I'm hopeful I can actually kill stuff in act5. I hope.
I can't say exactly when I am able to play, but I can try to enter earlier . . . now I can enter nightmare finally, thanks to toorn and his uber l33t duriel's shell. :worship:
Yesterday was fun, only problem was to kill monsters since when I got there they were mostly dead :teeth:
I think nightmare will be a good challenge though, I never dared to use a bow ama on hardcore before . . . and Duriel without a strong char will be scary :xrein:

Quicken your pace. My Druid is tad too powerful to join in early acts of NM, but maybe from act 4 -> I could join you. I'm in act 5 atm, only done first quest.
Edit: Should we make acco where we could put stuff we don't need, so others could take there what they need? I find lot of low level stuff that I don't need and I don't have room for them. I won't make any mules, I will keep all things on one char, if he dies then I'll start from scratch again. But it still annoys me to sell perfectly good low-level items.

No, I won't be at level hell today, unless we play there together. I leveled my necro fast so that it can support party. I won't solo him at all. I was too eager to play with my assa, which messed things up...but playing all at the same time isn't never easy task...
Fercil...this isn't new advice, but in open baalruns you get level helluva fast. I leveled my necro from 27 to 45 in...ermh...2-3 hours...well I did have lunch etc. crap also, but normally it is one lvl/run and run was about 2 minutes or so. I had great party with some soso, who teled to baal and I just raised army and casted lr once in a while. 5-6 random people joined also to give little exp :D

Update on my situation, got to lvl 20 now, can use sanders boots now, played with polly so far so trollie boy, I'm not there yet either. Now I will do some dishes and then I continue to level my ama.

Ill run my sorc tomorrow to baalruns and lets say lvl 70 or so.. then i will enter hell kill act1/2 and be ready for the mf runs for act3... mephie ofcourse :evil:

Planning to build a javazone because i love those :) that one ill start next week,, I hope you can catch up my speed..

Seems NM is a breeze, even with out not so twinked gear. Thats at least what frygsie and me saw last night. Finished Act2 without a ditch.
Resists are still fine. Lacking a bit on +skills, but thats no issue sofar.
When i think of how often i died yesterday while doing baalruns with soep (usually some black souls bosscrowd or dolls, although i had 85 light res) i think i need to really practice my teleporting skills. Usually died out of misplaced tele. :/
Makes me SCARED of Hell HC :cheesy:
Also, dont play when you are sleepy!
Looking out for some play again tonite. Great fun with you guys and gals!

Horrible awakening in the morning, 6 hours of sleep...
I found shaft and 6/15 string yesterday. I use shaft myself, but dunno about string yet. Pdr is nice and perf, but it still is more of a melee belt...
Does some1 know tradevalues in hc? Not that I plan on trading much, but you never know. I have a feeling that storm > shako > skully...

Yesterday was a very very scary day for me, independent of what meli says: life came from 100% to 20% in less than 1 second while doing the horadric malus quest (meli wasn't there yet), and I only saved myself by quitting the game. We were completely surrounded by nasty monsters as soon as we opened the room where the Smith was. First thing I was mana burn, mana went to 0 instantly, then I saw the life ball going to 0 at an hallucinating speed. It was so close that Toorn thought I was dead . . . he was saved by the occulus chance of teleport, unfortunately there's no option like that to amas :xrein:
After that no big scary moments, but people started to leave, ipity, toorn, Cerf and faye, leaving me alone to do the most interesting quest of all d2, on the maggot lair. I went to level 3 of maggot all the while not complaing about that at all, I mean, I didn't even spam all my friend list complaining about it :xrollseye
Surprisingly enough, meli appeared when I was just on the corner of the big fat monster on maggot 3 (I mean surprisingly because of course he didn't feel I was abandoned by everybody at all), and we then proceeded to kill the fat thing and continue with act 2. On summoner I had a scary moment again due to stupidity - writes in book 100 times *must remember not to answer messages of people when playing hc*
After that we were already on Tal Rasha's when Los appeared. That is why meli says it wasn't hard at all, of course. Killing Duriel nm with a Druid lvl 60 as meat shield shouldn't be so scary :D
That was all about yesterday . . . ama at lvl 50, Act 2 nm finished, and sucky resists on fire and cold, mostly due to sucky amu + sucky belt. If I play alone, I'll try to see if I can gamble something more decent.
I'll try to be on at 9pm today, but as always it might be closer to 10 . . .

Ipity, I think Shako = Storm. Although Storm is best shield there is, there are more casters, hence Shako is worth lot.

Well, as some of you may already have noticed, I don't play much in the evening, mrs. mallemout likes company too ;) . Toorn, thnx for the offer but what I meant to say is that I am using Sanders boots already now, I got them as a gift from Faye. Also using the bow you gave me Faye, it works wonders so far. If anyone comes across a nice two-socketed bow however, I am very much interested since I plan on making zephyr and I have ort and eth. (thanks polly).

yes we were lucky but i was down to life like about 100 from 400 so thats like 25%.. very close to but htank to the might of occulus i was saved...

friend got pked so i ran the game in with my barb.. he hostiled me screaming n00b, blabla and attacked me.. from 2.8k i went down to yes a 2.7k life.. what do u want witjh absorb and max resists.. :teeth:..
then i attacked with beserk a powerfull 2k/3k blast killed the pala almost at instead.. i needed to hit two times... the noob tried to escape but my ias was faster :evil: muhaha my barb has now 3 pks on his name and all attacked me first.. after i killed him pala lvl 69 the words he said i wont repeat here because those were to nasty :teeth:
so thats it for now i'm outside now enjoying the bright sun..

edit: tals amu is like bad anni/gul etc... gul > storm > shako so i can but both if i find good bidder..

I think Los is quite correct here, atleast when I traded my Storm for Harle there wasn't several people giving their Harle immediately which would've happened if the Storm would be clearly more valueable.
I'll try to actually be around today to play some and hope to catch the lot of you atleast a bit.

I consider myself very good in sc ladder trade values :uhhuh:, but in hc things are little bit different I asume. Toorn, I think you'll just go much faster than any of us can keep up with, except maybe Los and Ipity. Time to play is a major issue for me, I can't keep up even with this pace I've been doing, and that's slow to you, Los and Ipity . . .
Also about going to Hell: I can't, not with the resists I have today. Even if I can get to Act V nm without dieing, my resists are too low. I don't have any l33t anything, the best things I have are the Kuko and that ama circlet with 15% all res and +1 ama.
And since a bow ama can't reasonably with normal items attack AND have decent mf, I really am a char only for support. That means, I can mostly only play helping others but not mf'ing for myself (no mf, even if I had time).
Also the whole idea is a bit different depending on who sees it: I am doing only this char, won't do another, won't shift from sc to hc my focus, that's just an interlude . . . the ama will be available with whatever I can find (most probably nothing) and what you guys by your magnanimity give me.
I am on this for fun of playing with others and NOT for collecting l33t stuff. For that I have sc . . . so if you really are up to start being rich on hc ladder, don't stop waiting since I at least ( I think some others too) can't possibly catch up with you.
Malle: I have lots of stuff I don't use anymore, and they are fit for amas - I believe we should meet even if briefly so that I can show you and give you whatever I can. What do you think?
Ipity, you should give it a try on the hc forum, maybe you can get something decent out of it?

I won't advance this necro fast, just about same pace as others now in nm. Skellimancer is awesome for party support and weaker chars should be pretty safe behind it (including me :teeth: ). Maybe you take that string, Frygia? It doesn't have resist's but ll and pdr should provide some safety?
I have that assa for hell and nm mf:ing which I can play outside partyplaytime. Toorn seems to be in fire, was it 15 hours you have to spend for this game/day? I have played a lot recently too, but I think I have to concentrate on other matters also. But I still have fun with it.
Frygia, since you are ama girl, I have a question: Which merc is better for bowazon: nm might or that ar boosting one (from some difficulty)? I mean which gives more dmg?

You only go for the ar boosting one in very specific builds, like, you put no point in penetrate at all (meaning only 1 point, saving these points for another kind of arrow attack like immolation arrow, thus giving you freezing/immolation/strafe attack). For hardcore, though, I'd stick with strafe/freezing which is the only viable skills for bowazon now (while having the might merc and valkyrie as tank, and might to improve your killing speed).
Edit: Ar means only you hit more times (you don't miss targets, so it increases your dmg in this way) but with enough points on on penetrate you should be fine, since dex also improves ar. At level 70 with enough points in penetrate you should be hitting things at 85%, which is good enough.
And about string, yes it would be fine for me thank you ipity. At least in nm, I can use it, in hell it won't be possible since I have no good resists and won't be capable of playing with it ;)

Freezing arrow is good, but HF freezes everything (like those ev0l frenzytaurs). But like always it depends on playing style.

Seems like a good idea Frigsie, but about speed, well, I think I'm even slower than you seen the fact that my playing time is at the whims of my wife, my study and the dog. :D Not that you hear me complain, I'm having jolly good fun on hc so far but I'm still just on normal act 2 and now fear facing Duriel :D. But I would like to see gear (especially since we both play strafe ama). Anyway, I'm going in now, and probably will be able to play 'till 17.30-18.00 or so. (CET).

lvl 60 now at act5 baal.. running her to lvl 75 tonight and then ill go for hell..

I think hammerdin would suit the group best of those options. Didn't we have few barbs already? I know Mupp is away for quite a while (*sobs*) so that takes one barb less. Palas are always great for party, although if we get to higher levels I could bring my hammerdin along as well, his level is 70 now. Pala with conviction would be absolutely great for all the casters and fana would probably make the physical attackers love you.

Thats 80 points not including prequisites...gonna take a long long time before my Pala gets any good.

Hello all again. Did etf nm party play yesterday? I did play my necro for 5 minutes yesterday and in that time both nm Mephisto and Fercil get killed. So my necro is pretty much were I left him wednesday, too bad SillyDruid isn't with us anymore :(
I played my assa yesterday, she's at lvl 82 or something now doing hell baalruns. It's pretty thrilling to be there with gear like tarnhelm, stealth, eth bartucs, milabrega shield, changies, rare crap belt and rare boots etc. Resist are about 60/70/20/30 with fade :teeth: I'm determined to be first guardian in our party with her *teeth again here* I managed crap TO belt yesterday during one run, maybe I could swap it to something :scratch:
Is people playing nm today at some point?
And btw....that lich wand, don't think it has lot value...have you seen manymany bonenecros dueling in hc recently :lol:

Druids will have their revenge; next one, HuitovaSusi, ís on lvl 13. Wolfie and plan is to get him huge amount of life. SillyDruid got killed by some dolls which I didn't even see. I'm not too sad about him, playing with him was pretty much running in circles with hurricane and casting occassional tornado. Pretty boring if you ask me. Also taking a level 50 elemental druid to nm Durance was probably not the wisest decision.
I won't be around to play tonight unless something surprising happens.
Oh, and don't ask me about prices, I don't have any better idea than the rest of you.
Well, I played yesterday for about 1 hour . . . was going very, VERY slowly and carefully since I am so afraid of getting killed, until Losito called me and offered help. Then we went on, on act III, getting that yucky eye and heart ( I had the yucky brain already) and then proceeding to kill council (which he did practically alone) and finally Durance and Meph. No big surprises, but the dolls are really scary. Fortunatelly only 1 exploded near to me and the rest of the time, things were smooth.
I was amused to no end since I was told I'm a daring person who will die quickly probably, while I think myself the worst chicken to play hc ever . . . interesting, indeed. I think you guys should see me playing alone, which is manifestly impossible but if you did you'd see what I mean.
Now I'm on act IV but unfortunately with no condition of going on, I mean, I don't dare go on on act IV with 20% res fire . . . so I think I'll try and gamble enough to get my fire res up before proceeding, unless of course someone has a belt or gloves that give huge fire res.
My ama is at lvl 55 now, and I'll be on tonight for a while, let's see if we find each other, ipity - I mean, if you don't mind playing before act IV . . .

There is something to try for all you :teeth: She's at level 82 and it took about 30 mins to clear the way to baal and about 2 minutes to kill him. I soloed to throne which was full of souls (erhmh...I'm that lit trapper remember..). I managed to kill half of them and then one lvl 80 ama joined. It was pretty easy after that. He killed half, I half of those souls and baals minions. Baal was surpricingly easy, didn't even clone himself. Anyway, this is something exiting now. Big goal accomplished with VERY fragile assasin with poor gear. And best part is that I didn't get boosted much along the way. With ancient's there was one big nasty baba helping big party, but anyway it was pretty much good effort from my part and still alive :)
Frygia, I haven't even killed Izual yet with my necro and won't play him until in party, so let's meet sometime later tonight. Who else is partying today?

Yesterday BurnSmilieBurn faced his biggest challenge yet: NM Anciets.
Round 1) This was really going to be Ancients show: 2 Fire immunes, so I chickened out and casted TP.
Round2) And again we started. Quick look on the mods; only one FI, Korlic. No other bad ones either; time to fight. First I decided to take out Talic as Madawc was fire enchanted and would've taken longer time. Luckily my bear can tank pretty well and ancients aren't sharpest knives in the draw. Just spammed Fissures and soon Talic went bye bye. Unfortunely my merc died, while tanking Korlic and getting also hits from Madawc. Next stop: Madawc. Him I took out with good ol' Volcano. That dumb idiot didn't move lot so it was easy. Now Korlic was little problematic as I am firedruid, but once again bear showed his godlyness; he whacked Korrlic to oblivion.
And so BurnSmilieBurn came out from Arreat Summit as a winner.

Well, uhm, there might be some truth to that...the wolfie died at the mature age of lvl 65 on a Baal run with iron maiden cast on him. Revenge is on the way, his grand son named after the grand daddy is now aged 15 and practising the art of beating things senseless and one day he shall be level 65 on the same place and let the sorcs do the work and just provide them oak sage. Bloody knights.
I'm stuck in act2 hell with my sorc.. i suck with resist like just +10 so its not enough to continue.. My barb got max resist but is to weak to face the overpowered strenght of hell.. So i can't go on..
Also i have the game sacred which i'm playing.. lvl 14 in that game and i'm going to play this game for a time.. i will keep playing d2 but less then normal..

Excuse me, I may not be as high level as Mrs. Frygia but I also play Ama and am still very much alive. I reached Diablo's Sanctuary which is kinda scary, my resists are getting better gradually but still not very pleased with my fire res. Managed to get lvl 28 which means I can use Naj circlet and Sander gloves (combo with the boots) now. Want at least two more levels before I even begin to think about facing Diablo (wanna have valk-tank). Kinda slow-leveling tho since I mostly play alone (not much evening-night playing for me sadly... :( )

I tell you those knights are just ev0l. They must suffer!Yeah, they're horrible. I had some nasty experiences doing the baal runs but that was just too much. I think it was the lower res curse that made it, though. My resists were at the best of times sucky, and with lower res and a pack of them surrounding me it was too much . . . I almost had time to quit but for a question of a fraction of a second it happened.
The fault was mine though, I wanted to get to lvl 70 before going out (because of Losito) and he used his ev0l curse to send me the Oblivion nights . . . 12 of them in a corner, it was really a nasty surprise.

Sry for not being too active in hc lately. Haven't played that much and what I have played has gone into my PvP tryout. My necro still stands at the beginning of nm act5 willing to help those who need assistance. I think I wait until other suicide candidates reach that point again. Kooki might join hc soon and I gave him little starting gear to keep him alive. If some1 could crap hellforge hammer for him to help leveling?
Has some1 been in contact with that hc => sc trading guy? There should be some nice hc gear I think.

I think the trapper will be the smartest choice for me as a first-char on HC so i can mf at pindle easily and safely.

I don't give any advices because I think you know these things, but that fade is real lifesaver. Has saved my sorryass many times I think. About mf:ing...pindle is reaaaalllly easy, just MB that group and spam traps. I have found mephisto runs in nm pretty easy too. My tactic there is to use burst of speed and run like there is no tomorrow to mephisto. SM tanks pretty nicely there :D

He still has some interesting stuff on HCL I think, at least I think kooki would be happy with his +3 traps claw . . . after I'll list what I could trade here, mostly it's ama stuff but maybe somebody is interested in something I have now :)

Am I only one who still plays untwinked? Well, almost untwinked; boosted my necro to act 5 yesterday so I could make a hole in my Ward. 1 per difficulty level is too little. Especially when you get the 3rd one in act 5 Hell.

Well, with me it's still going very smoothly so far. Strafazon is lvl 44 atm, using a buri which I received from polly (thank you very much) and kuko as backup. Am working my way through nightmare, killed andy myself already and radament is dead too. Ran through act 1 basically (doing all quests) because I wanted an act 2 nm merc. :D As long as I take it easy everyhting goes pretty well. My resists are pretty good on nm, lowest is 53 highest is 6x. And Cerf, this zon also says you're crazy. That's just a fact. :P

I have one of the fastest bows in the game :teeth: mavs bow.. found it in act2 hell.. I have reached act3 with lot of playing and now i'm preparing myself for meph runs... lvl 74 and resists around 50 so i think i can survive.. But you never know for sure...
Also found lycanders aim, chopper, ali baba, arreats so it is going good with nm runs,,

It's pretty much necessary for me as a wolfie to get next to monsters to beat them and usually they get few hits in too. That's just how I have to live. However, when I'm barely inside the room or on the doorway and you rush by me to centre of the room can you really say that's necessary for keeping the cute wolfie alive? I think supporting fire from behind would've done the same without so much risk. I also have the spirit, which I had pumped pretty well so it could take the beating and I can recast him anytime to a good position to help me. In some cases I just had to run in there to finish the unraveler as otherwise we'd be stuck on the doorway forever. Which is nuts and risky but atleast I admit it.

Yes Frigsie, it's really "oh the horror" allright with my buri, especially for those monsters :D I managed to kill Duriel nm myself too, went pretty easy actually, boy, do I like my valkyrie. Which brings me to the next: I said I would build strafazon and max strafe and valkyrie first, then I would look what to do further. Well, I reached lvl 50 now and have two skillpoints left. And strafe and valkyrie are maxed. So anyone with good hints/tips on how to built further with my strafazon is most welcome to post info here or maybe even better point me to good guide or pm me.
ps: frygsie , if you want that kuko back when you can use it, just give a holler and maybe we can work out a time to trade it back ;)
Malle: if you are a cautious zon, I'd have Dodge/Avoid/Evade (otherwise known as D/A/E) at 50%, but you can have them even less than that - by order of importance, IF you're a cautious zon, E > A > D, and then have pierce (helps a lot when using freezing arrow) and penetrate I think, the one that boosts your ar. That's what you should aim for. You never waste points on pierce unless you use razortail (stop when you're getting too few results, like +1% pierce/point) and penetrate is always welcome.
Buri is, erm, well a buri. Some kind of taboo really, but it's nice to see a zon that ignores it :xrollseye
Edit: if you plan to use always a buri, don't waste points on piercing, that thing pierces by itself. See, I never think of it myself, so I don't remember it pierces...
Edit2: You have also to boost critical strike, don't forget that one ;)
The Last night story by kooki the kid :-)~
Me and irl-friend started at HC late last night.
She made a firesorc and i made a trapper.
She's a newbie and havent played much, so i said that a firesorc is a strong lowlvl char (she has no intention to exp it seriously just being strong in the beginning) and the fireballs are quiet nice and fast exp in the beginning (besides its better and faster exp for me in the party, lol)
Anywho, when we celebrate our 14th birthday together we moved to the place called sewers where we ran along (behind) the rest of the party.
Now here i first experienced the (obviously) normal pk-way lame people tend to live for. At the second exit to town from lvl 1 sewers, pk's stand and w8, and then go to town quickly and hostile us then the pala (who was hostile) come charging like a wild beast with rabies towards us.
As i play diablo2 with the parameter -ns in the shortcut, which means, nosound (so i can listen to winamp) i didnt know he was hostile, not until i saw a weird pala charging me like crazy, luckily i had 75% blockrate and lost 60 life when i realised that he was hostile. Faster then a speedcar i pressed save/exit and so did me friend, cuz i screamed at her in my thought (guess she and I was at the same mind-frequence lol)
Anyhow, we moved on to the next sewerparty and gained some nice exp, we met about 4-5 more pk's that tried the same thing, got kinda tired of it and i wrote to a HC friend so he brought his lvl 96 charge/zeal/fana pala ;P
He was a nice guardian for us and we didnt have any more problems, he killed 2 pk's (palas at lvl 23 and 35) and the deserved it haha.
When the time passed he got tired and went to bed, 2 minutes after, another pk came alone, hostiled us, and i quickly saved/exit and msg my irl-friend and said that ill search next game..she didnt reply..i waited, and i waited.
Finally she said, come to channel **** PK
I got kinda nervous and i joined, there stood a ghost who just ..stood there sad.
She had just celebrate her 16th birthday and we had played a few hours running around in blood moor playing and chasing eachother and laughing, just enjoying our youth.
All of a sudden, those times was far far in the past and there was no tomorrow for her.
At the funeral our families was gathered and our closest friends (would have msg u all but there wasnt any time, soz)
Anyhow..she will be offline for some time now, back next week i guess, we'll see if she still wanna do HC then to give birth to a new cute sorceress.
Im lvl 20 now and a friend will do some cowruns with me (he is a highlvl, same friend as before, but with his psn nova nec)
So i can get 25 and start hiding in baalruns.
Im helping another guy on SC with items, so he will help me on HC, he said he would get me a shako next time he find one, kinda lucky yes!;P
I start to enjoy HC already, so you can count me in as a perm-member in your party.

So i think...HC got me hooked now, hehe.

Okay, improve the passive tree, got it. I got one point in all skills in that tree so far... including pierce since I didn't have buri before. Also, if I'm not mistaking kuko also doesnt need pierce. First goal is to get all those evasion type skills (all three) to around 50% chance.
I was wondering, why is buri kind of a taboo??? I don't get it, I always felt like using that is kinda frowned upon but why????
And Kooki, slow down for a moment, I started way before you and now you already got waaaaaaaay more nice items and already the same lvl char. Keep this up and Toorn might even get jealous :cheesy:

Been searching for 30 minutes just because I have to be carefull and mostly because the place was so darn big. Luck is changing however since I found heavenly garb and mavina's tenet upon entering kurast.

Basically, I'mnot having ANY difficulty at the moment. It's like it's going too easy and then suddenly WHAM all over. O well, I'll just stay carefull behind my merc and valk and continue like this.

Just made my first mephrun in nm at lvl 64.
That **** was intense, my God i ran like there was no tomorrow, just like ipity told us and finally i found the stairs to hate lvl 3 where i took out bremm in a good tactic hiding-trapping hiding-trapping re-cast the shadow master and so on ;P
I struggled my way to mephy and it took about 1 minute till he fell on the ground, and dropped a unique rune bow.

Yep, now I'm lvl 74 which was a certain goal since now I get to use Ethereal Edge I found some time ago. Just entered hell too.
Well, you've just entered Hell and I've just entered nightmare . . . pretty scared since the equipment this time is even crappier than the one I had (no level to use the better equipment that I bought, only goldstrike).
It was pretty scary sometimes, and I've been REALLY more careful, but Duriel was the scariest moment by far. Now I'm lvl 54 and killed Duriel in a 2-player game (other one in game was my mule lvl 1). Not bad, but still 16 levels to go . . .

I usually go online in the evenings, to do pit runs, baal runs, meph runs or just questing / getting exp for my chars.

Try getting some res charms? Or Hel Lum Fal? That would be awesome... I'm pretty scared of going to hell, one of those little red carvers hit me once and took like 20% life with one hit, not nice, not at all. I'll try to get to lvl 75 at least before even trying (lvl 72 now) - I'll try to get some decent res scs too . . .

Well, I can't play for a few days and just look: everybody passed me again, even Frygsie that needed to start all over again. I'm still lvl 58 or 59 or so. Haven't been able to play friday, saturday, sunday or today (ok, mostly today, might just go on for little while today). See, I told you Frigise, before you know it you would pass me again and ta-da, look who's right??? Anyway, Kooki, you still have that lionheart you promised me???? (hope hope). My ama would really love that armor. And sad you are quitting Toorn, just indulge in Sacred and come back every now and then to let us know how it goes ok???
Oh, and nobody explained yet why Buri is a not to be used item.....why is it taboo???

About buriza, ewww... don't know how to explain, it mostly a question of vanity and fashion, no amazon on the basin or even on d2 ama forums uses them, it's the mark of the noobs and unexperienced, see. For me it's more than that, it's that it looks awful in a zon, I said to kooki but I'll repeat to you, I prefer to die happy using a circlet and a bow than live hating myself using a buri and gaze. But it's only because I'm, er, vain like that. In hc we shouldn't be like that you know... I should be wearing gaze, buri, and having a might merc and doing all those pretty advisable things... but I can't o_O

i do agree with you accually, my assa is really black now, with ormus, gerkes and shako/hoto. only some spots on her upper-body shows..thats a pity tho..
trying to find a good armor thats 100% black.
would be fun to look at her in the channel, or char-screen.
as for now, she almost doesnt show at all in the char-screen, just a small glimpse of her pretty face, rofl.
so in one way or another, i think we all (more or less) try to look good and forget about the important things on hc, to stay alive ;P

I can't even remeber on what level my druid is. Think it's 70. Must admit, this HC thing isn't that much fun as it was in beginning, mainly cos I wanna play as untwinked as possible and that makes my druid suck badly in party as all others items are far superior.
Frigsie, I could join you when you enter hell.
And looks are most important thing when picking up gear. For example I would never use any other druidhelm than Wolf Heads. Shako looks pretty bad tho and yet I use that on many chars.

You pretty much summed it up for me. I haven't played hc in a week and sc has been pretty lame too. I was on a holiday and I only participated in FD (which was nice because I finally learn to duell pretty good) and made one trade. I'm not sure yet, but now it seems that my time with D2 is coming to its bitter sweet end. I won't stop totally because that FD thing is so fun, but outside it...dunno...don't feel like playing at all atm. But we'll see...guess I'll be playing like maniac again after a week...
Got other interest now. I think I have to buy a car in the near future. Of course I have "car fewer" now...was thinking mid 90's BMW *insertslurpshere* Also have to be busy with last university studies, gotta get me a job (see that car thingy above...), gotta get me fit for beach season because I'm fat bastard...I've only played D2 during the winter...and don't take literally all the things I wrote here :)

Hmmmm, maybe I'm just old but here's my experience. Sometimes I also felt like some of you, really not feel like playing D2 for quite a while. In that time I only went online to keep my chars up to date. After a few months it comes back, everytime again. And now as I write this I really feel like an idiot because I'm not playing.
I'm using buri because I like the nice "twoing" sounds the bow makes and because it keeps me alive (remember, really crappy pc...). If I can I will switch it in for something else that's nice (any nice bows welcome here). Since I'm not much online in the evening could anyone here also kinda look for anything usefull that Toorn drops for me???
About the vanity thing, I'm absolutely not vain, I'm like "so what if I'm noob, I don't care, as long as I have fun" Then again, I'm a man and I can keep emotion and logic separated unlike women. ;)
Before any comments come flooding in, this is because of anatomy differene between man/woman. Women have way more neurons between left/right brain halves. That way they can't separate logic/emotion but does enable them to do more things at once. So don't flame me. :D
Just got lvl 86 with my assa, logged out cuz i was going to bed.
Then a friend sent a msg via msn and wanted a few sojs on SC and told me he would have them tomorrow (anyhow, not important)
So i logged in again...well..tried..i couldnt.
Passwd was incorrect..im not typing it wrong and no its not case sensitive (caps lock doesnt matter)
So i tried the passwd recovery via my email but that doesnt seem to work either..
Well..ive sent the request for a new passwd and if this doesnt work ill quit d2 for good, cuz that was my primary account and my "fortune" was all there and i dont feel like starting from scratch again like i did 5-6 years ago.
Anyhow..we'll see when i get up how things turn out, alltho it doesnt look bright, not bright at all.
Been a fun hobby tho, no doubt about it, but..well *sniff* guess there are other gamese too ;/

I totally agree with Cerf there, I also hope your problems get solved Kooki. It would be a shame if you left too. Give Blizzard some time, they usually take some time before things work there.
Before I forget: last time I played I found a nice gold shield: Tiamat's Rebuke. Any shield users here that could use it??? (it kinda difficult for me to use in combination with a bow, I fire so clumsy with that thing.... :D )

Just received answer, so no more +2 traps amu on offer or the tiamats. I'lljust take a few minutes to recover from this loss and then carry on playing, I can't quit playing just yet. Next time I reach ancients again (whichever difficulty level, I'll ask for some help, because my computer just cant handle them.)

Truly sorry :( All I know is that someone must be in that very game already and with lootpermission to be able to loot your corpse. So I think it's impossible now.

About leaving D2. Well for me its an on and off all the while. I got bored a couple of times and quit playing once for 3 years and came back, starting from scratch. The only thing i regretted sometimes a bit, was not to keep my accounts alive, but its no major deal starting over, its even fun.
D2 just has the potential to keep you hooked for long.
Toorn Sacred was a bit of fun, but in my personal opinion it cant reach D2, at least concerning the casting characters.
I would greatly enjoy some small item from your hc items :)
The last days i have been playing with frygsie and once with polly, getting me from lvl60 to 68. Frygsie took great care for me and gave me quite an amount of charms so life is now at 813. We found some waterwalks which i am using aswell. Thx frygs for those lovely lvling games!
Concerning MFing i will surely not try before my life is above 1k. The only places i go are NM Andy and Pindle, not Mephisto. Those dolls are still too scary without enough life!
I am not on too often since i also have a bit of playing break just playing a bit inbetween when i can. My SC Sorcs are gettin boring since i have all that's needed, but HC is still a very very very very welcome change!

I have been saving lots of low-lvl things for ama, including that arctic bow which is great at lvl 3 and other things like that... tell me if you're online and I'll go in to give you them.

Widowmaker is better than the bow I'm using, so I'd use it gladly too, but Witchwild String is really THE bow for me, as soon as I get myself a Pul and Lum - Unless I get a lem and ort and a 4 sock mat/grand matron/crusader bow or course :p
Kooki, I'm terribly sorry to know that, do you use a firewall like Zone Alarm? My guess is that you have a keylogger installed, and you should have the latest version of your firewall installed - helps nothing now, but you should have it anyway... If you still have valuable things on other accounts, you should transfer them asap to other accounts created from a cleanly installed computer or from an account created by a friend, which you shouldn't log in to until you are completely sure that your computer is spyware-free. A keylogger means everything you type is sent via internet, so you can't even tell your friend which password they should use... if you need I can do that for you. I've seen that happen with an english friend of mine who traded a lot in TCs, there are some non-public hacks that allow people to log everything that you type (including account and psw). Let me know something by msn ok?
Losito: I was hoping on the unique tiara from kooki to start hell, now I don't know if I'll dare... I have to have more res if I will venture there, even with all my efforts I have too crappy life and res to hell, I know I can't do it yet. BIG problem, since I also can't lvl on nm, can't mf on nm since all my equip is tuned only to survive, my only hope is to find/craft good charms that will allow me to go to hell...

No i dont have much valuables on other accounts,i had most on that one, cuz it was my primary account and i had 4 living equipped pvp-chars on sc and my hc-assa there.
Fun thing i just calculated all my gear and tradables i had in my storage on sc, and we ended up with the current values on bnet, my sc-storage came to a value of over 150 sojs, so the ripper will be a very happy camper.
Frygsie: still have the kiras for you, ill go on later and hand it over.

That's the spirit Kooki. I returned just like you and I have nothing either. I have no sc chars whatsoever and what I have on HC can be bought for a few prubies :D And I'm still playing. Anyway, my ama is lvl 18 atm and in act 2, next stop is getting a cube. Maybe I will also try and build a paladin so that the group has a nice benefit from that. Have no clue as to what to build then but I'm sure that will sort itself out then. Did always like the combination of charge and fanatisicm, my wife had a paladin once and that looked pretty neat. She could switch to vengeance/conviction if charging was a problem.
You can count on me to help you all the way :) Furthermore, there's this sorc that we boosted together to hell, remember? If you want, you can use her, and that account too, at least she is already in hell (at lvl 1 :xrollseye ).
You can't believe how glad I am that you didn't quit yet... I have at least that Lidless Wall that we found, and I can gather whatever can help you to make your sorc work better :)

I have some items you would certianly like to start out. Like a nice Tir-Ral Staff with Shiver Armor, Meteor and Fire Mastery on it from before socketing.
Also am i loaded with some rare orbs and there's a +1 Fireskiller Amu and some other stuff.
I did some MFing on NM Andy,Meph,Pindle after playing a bit with frygsie and it turned out some nice lowlvl items. A unqiue ring dropped and stopped my hearbeat, but it was Nagelring then ;)

P.S.: Mallemout!, I nearly forgot. Frygsie gave me some awesome lowlvl runeword items like a Stealth Armor lvl17 with 100 def O_o and a Zephyr Reflex Bow (lvl21) Also some rings and amulets for you.

As soon as I find a Pul and Lum to upgrade the wws graciously offered me by Cerfie, or I find a Lem, or I get Kira's from Kooki (and reach lvl 77), I'll be able to face Hell. Found 1 more cold dmg sc yesterday, now the monsters start being nicely frozen for an usable time . . .

Well,it's official, I'm also playing a paladin, an avenger. Just making a standard build first since I'm not so familiar with them so it's going to be 20 vengeance, 10 in all the specific resistances, 20 Holy Shield and 20 conviction (love me yet? :D ) Strength enough to use items I got, dex enough for max blocking and the rest in vitality (now that sounds good for hardcore char. :D ). Will still play amazon but for now it's project palladin. makes good use of sigons gloves and armor at lvl 10 atm. But first I need to study a bit more for an exam I got this afternoon. So wish me luck.
ps: darn game, keeps me from studying, too addictive.
ps2: since I have sigons gloves and armor, other sigon items would be more than appreciated *hint hint* ;)

Pelta Lunata is about the best (sorceress) starter blocking shield you can get.
req lvl2 and nice stats.
NM Pindle runs are a nice way to gain safe xp alone btw. at least til lvl75.
Did 2 lvls, mostly pindling. can get tiresome though...
kooki: dont forget to reinstall d2 or better do a complete system swipe, otherwise might endup with cracked accounts again ;/

Well, Fercil came by and gave me Sigons helmet and shield (thank you very much mr.troll , have a beer :drink: ) Only sigon items I still need are belt and boots, that would be great so if you see those somewhere, please do take 'em along. I'm level 20 or so now, doing mighty fine. Vengeance is still just a bit too costly but the manald is really helping out. Am in act 2 now, killed Andariel just a few minutes ago.
Malle: i would really need the pelta shield for my new sorc, if i could borrow it tonight it would be terrific, but if u cant get on tonight its ok. tomorrow ill be highlvl (i hope)

Be back on friday. A thought has been milling in my mind that i infact may quit and SC play and convert to HC only.
There's not much to achieve in SC anymore anyway. The thrill in HC is simply to addicting since death is imminent, just aswell as losing your perfect item setup. Makes kind of more sense and promises less boredom since achieving a a "godly" status is rather hard, also itemwise.
I'll be trying to prove that a Tri-Elementalist can get through to Hell HC, mostly untwinked, so thats kind of a challenging task =)

Update on kooki, she's alive and well doing a fire sorc. We've been together yesterday and I've given her the few things I could have to help her sorc. Today she's probably a nice level already, I'll be doing nm baal runs with her, probably :)
My ama is still at lvl 76 and 3/4 waiting to get to lvl 77 so I can use the kira's (yeah!!!) that kooki so kindly gave me. As soon as I can use it, I can start Hell.

kooki pretty loaded up from my sorc repertoire aswell :cheesy: she should be a running/teleporting stronghold of items by now. when i look at her usual playing speed she should be lvl70 by now or higher. For me that usually requires a few days . :cheesy:

Sorry about the hasty retreat Meli, but wife called and it sounded urgent. Turns out they made her fail her work placement. And failing a work placement is reason enough for school to kick her out. So you can guess how stress levels here go through the roof. Because if she is kicked out she won't have any diploma, she doesn't want to work yet and even if she tried to get work she is too old for the crappy jobs and other jobs need diplomas. So now we are going to doctor monday and see if she can obtain a doctor's indication that she has burn-out (which she definitely has). In that case school (hopefully) can't kick her out (because of the burn-out). Anyway, if I would continue now on the schoolthing and say what kind if things all go wrong there I would fill over five pages and then I would only have warmed up so I won't.
My paladin is lvl 24 now and only missing the Sigon boots for the complete set. Holy shield is now available and I can breeze past just about any opponent. Am in act 3 and collected first two parts of the flail. Am on my way to kurast but given the current situation I'll be lucky if I even get five minutes of play in the next couple of days.
edit: the sigons boots sound lovely as it's only item still needed and guardian naga or any other weapon that would fit well on my paladin would be nice too.

toorn, didnt get on the comp yesterday when i was home shortly. Will post this evening 8) Hardcore Sacred?! I hope you are not thnking about playing the Battlemage. They suck extremely with this funny regeneration system. All other chars do well from what i remember.
malle, fercil has a unique naga on his mules from toorn. I think that would be guardian Naga?!
Sorry about your wife. Sounds aweful. When you have to rely on many things to work out so you can stay at school and rules are tight i would certainly get a high stress-lvl too :/ All you can do is try beating them by their own rules then :D Hope that works out! :thumbsup:

Sigon's boots and Guardian Naga reserved for you Malle. Naga requires lvl 48 though, you might want something else to use before that too. Ironstone is a bit slow but would be lvl27. Just say, I didn't pick all those for myself but for all of us.
I hope things get allright with your wife and the school. I tend to believe that things like that are negotiable in most cases.
kooki, gl xping. hope frygs and you had a fun night.Last time I've seen her no-so-scared sorcie, she was in hell already, act II, so everything is going smoothly enough :) Only big problem was that once again, I've seen how my ama is unsuitable for hell - it was really hard to stand my own even against those small carvers . . . I'll do my very best to be careful, but I don't know how many time she'll survive yet. She's really truly what I've expected - a formidable supporting char, helping others who stay in the front line, but she won't resist much if faced with direct melee danger.
I'm lvl 77 now btw, and started to use kira's :jig:
Edit: I really really need a Laying of Hands, could be the difference between staying alive in many situations, does anybody have it?

The items there are also thought for the group. Suddenly hahaving such a truckload of items available makes me feel back to bad times on SC. With all the choice free to take when you have twinking gear the game gets awefully boring, but luckily not as strong as on SC since there is the thrill of imminent death ahead :surprise:
Meli, don't worry - as Su said, it's not if, but when you're going to die. Is there any char on your sc career that has never died? And when you do, you lose all your godly charms . . . no way back, and since we're both not mad pubbies rushers, bringing back a char to the postion that the other was is painful, very painful.
Kooki made me yesterday enter pubbie games on the first time ever on hc, so that I could help her lvl faster. I said a quick prayer for my ama's life every time I entered one of them (even though in normal) because of the kill-in-town hack. It could very well be that one of those low lvl chars would find funny to bring down my ama, but fortunately it didn't happen. We didn't enter any party, just went on leveling her till she could get to nm :)

On SC, ofcourse my chars have died through moments of carelessness and surprise, including stupidity. My first HC char ever has not died sofar, so i am trying to ignore the fact that it will happen and play as cautious as i can get.

Well, you know hell is quite a bit harder. My druid went from "beating them all senseless" to "help me mummy" between act5 nm and act1 hell. My skelliemancer is on act5 hell now and so far the only problems have been Souls and I can see a possibility of problems with Oblivion Knights stacked with frenzytaurs for example. Oblivion Knights are about the only thing that can kill my army and they can do it within seconds, I hate that IM. Once my army goes down I'm totally defenseless. Other than Souls and Oblivion Knights packed with something nasty carelessness is the only possibility to kill him it seems. The druid on the other hand, he has much greater variety of possibilities to die, just about anywhere.

Put some money on your chair. Yes a good chair costs somewhat more but if you're going to sit on it a lot you want it to be a good one and be able to adjust it just the way you want to. This is going to be a lot cheaper than treating those back problems later on. Move around, don't get stuck at same position for too long time. Get a cup of coffee, generally just get up from the chair regularly. Do some stretching, this helps a lot. If you have back problems try to get you stomach and back muscles into a bit better shape. Well generally keeping your shape up helps but those are the most important ones for avoiding back problems.

About being in front of computer, there's a correct position to be. If you get the right position (don't know where I can find a site showing that but there are) in front of the screen, angle between forearm and keyboard and so on, you can reduce the stress big time. It's a must for programmers and people who have to stand many time in front of computers . . .
Meli, rule is, when you start being confident you die. Thus the best thing is never to feel confident, just because 99% of the time you can get away with being ruthless, it doesn't mean that 1% won't happen and in hc, that's all it takes . . .

You'll probably just learn about it when it happens to you . . . but let's hope it doesn't. I had a friend to whom it happened, though. And it was not a trick like you say, it's a hack used with that hack framework they developed to d2. You just send a huge blast via packets to the other char and the other char dies. Basically in a programmer's point of view, I think that Blizzard prevents you from sending a packet that damages the other player when in town, but if you DO send a packet to damage the player (by hacked packets) there's no IF clause on the code stating IF in town, THEN ignore dmg packet (since they didn't preview that sending such a packet was possible). Clear case of non-defensive programming imho...

Sitting alot infront of the comp can be rather painful over time. Like Frygsie said your sitting position is vey important. A good chair needs to be able to adjust, height, also horizontal angle of seat and adjustable back of seat.
Sometimes you will find a cheaper one that exactly fits your needs. But thats more luck than anything ;)
I take small breaks inbetween when i start feeling uncomfortable, at least here at work. Though this happens rather seldom since my position is just fine.
Confidence? I have no confidence in not diieng in HC :D
I pratically stopped teleporting unless i am just too powerful for anyone to kill me in 1 hit. I can now safely do NM Andy and Mephisto runs teleporting down to their chambers. I would not dare doing that with Baalruns, and certainly not while questing. Switching on /nopickup seems very useful too.
I am getting paranoid in HC too. If i even just use a sliver of red from my life bulb i drink a potion. Might help, we shall see!

Hmz this is getting out of hand.. Soon you dont want even to be hit by even not -1 life and you quit the game with alt+f4 :drool:..

i was doing pindleruns in hell..very very wasted with -22 all res...i think thats called extreme exping or something...pheew, now im a bit more sober and i do regret it very very much.
ill msg a friend who is studying programming, asking him to build a drunk-lock on my computer to prevent me from doin more hc when im that wasted, lol.
anyhow..got my gear on now and in hell i got almost all max res, just need a few more lvls to reach maxed res.

Could go as far as the Black Marshes, in a very interesting fashion: I can't kill the monsters in less than a minute (including carvers), because of my pityful dmg, but I DID socket a nef in my bow, so they can't kill me either :D It was a very interesting exercise in patience, me no kill you monster but you can't get to me, na-na-na-na-na :p

Update: On friday we had appointment with the dean of the school. Very nice man, he even said that if it all went really bad and we would appear in front of court he would support us :D Nice, probably won't go that way, wife has to do a few things but things look better so far. Fercil, thanks for saving those two items for me, don't know when I will be able to pick 'em up. Hope that's not a problem. As for the naga, till that time I can use the unique gladiator sword. Btw, my paladin is called Esthiomenos and is lvl 24 so far, I like it so far, killing is easy.

Anyway, I went on, lvl 79 now and did the whole act I. Took forever, very difficult and a mistake in between, but I finished it. Mistake was to let mule on town while killing Andariel, which gave me the fabulous opportunity of having to kill Andariel again :xrollseye this time with mule on the same level. I play always with a mule to whom I give looting permissions btw.
I think I killed Andariel from boredom. If I was her, I'd be thinking "If I don't die, this wretch will stay here forever", then she died to finish the whole business and go rest :lol:
And I've redefined the name "pit run". In the only pit run I made as a test, the name should be really "pit walk", because of the (lack of) speed which with I did it.
Other than that, I'm pretty fine and ready to face now the Act II challenges (until, but not including Duriel, of course).
Double post! Nahh, just to tell that I've got to Tal Rasha's valley. Incredibly, I'm now lvl 81 and NOT dead! I won't bore anybody with tales as how I got there. Better not to think about it at all . . .
Reached lvl 85 today with my firesorc.
Was doing ancientsquest with a friend (he helped me) and all of a sudden, that damn barb died and killed me with his fire enchanted *** ;/

Ill remake that sorc tomorrow (i got looted and my items are saved) but not my fireskillers and merc-gear (upgraded shaft um-sock, gaze, bonehew) but thats something ill get soon.
