Hi guys !!
Looks like I'm getting a chance to try out a Hammerdin and since I've heard those can be effective on mfing in terms of speed and killing-ability I thought I should run my thoughts by you and see if I can pull it off :worship:

I'm already in possession of some stuff which I think could be useful ... and I hoped you guys could fill in the blanks for me ... or totally and utterly correct me if I'm wrong

Armor:
Enigma (no surprise here)
Weapon:
Was thinking of a 40% res HotO
Helm:
Shako (PT)
Shield:
Zakarum (which could be sockted for mf purpose)
Amulet:
Mara's
Rings:
Really have no idea here
Belt:
Same here, was thinking Arachnid
Boots:
Wartraveller for the mf but could be way wrong here

Charms and other stuff are pretty obvious!!

What would you consider essential requirements for a Hammerdin?? ... resists, mana, faster cast rate or simply trying to max out with +skill items to further increase hammerdamage and thus your killingspeed??

Any and all suggestions for my future "cookie"-build would be appreciated :worship:

Regards Ice.

I would probably go with chance guards and some rate MF amulets/rings. On My Hammerdin I have a ravenfrost for obvious reasons, a Nageling and a rate amulet that has MF plus +1 pally skills. With a ali-baba with both my ists in it, for the weapon switch, I can get close to 500% MF for the big kills and still decent for normal killing mode without sacrificing too much killing speed.

Chanceguards and a Nagel could be good options however I'm concerned about not having enough mana and therefore considering SoJ and Frostburns

The obious way to go would be any nice rare mf-jewelry for all the 3 slots however these can be insanely expensive in trying to get them :) ... the weapon switch I really havent considered other than for strictly bosskilling ant therefore is a secondary need, but you have a valid point ... thx alot m8

Once you get to 80 or so, Mana should not be a large issue. True, I do go through some mana potions, I prefer the extra MF from items (also, the harly's crest helps with the mana)
