View Full Version : Messenger Service
Anyone with Windows has likely experienced this "security flaw" where they receive internal pop-ups from websites. Every day, however, I seem to get 700+ per second. I just stopped clicking them after a while. Is there any way to close this hole? Or should I just flood Microsoft's support server?

iirc, you can just download a windows "patch" for this.. keep your windows updated and you'll be fine..

Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services
scroll down to Messenger
right click, Properties
Startup Type = Disabled
Problem Solved

I think some stupid advertiser on the forums snuck that one in because I get that at work and I don't have messenger there. Only happens when I'm on the forum. Was gonna message Gaile about it but it hasn't happened in a while.
