Ormus Robes and Pointless Trades?

I see that a lot of people sell Ormus Robes on the channels or the trade forum, but most are ones without +3 to blizzard or fireball. Aren't they all useless without these +3 skills? Or are people actually still using the robes even if they don't have the +3 to a desirable skill, but for the bonus to elemental damage? I've found many of these in meph runs, and drop them if they have crappy +3 skills. Why do people still sell ones without blizz or fireball? Heh I don't get it.

Other useful Ormus Robes
+3 Enchant (Enchantress)
+3 Energy Shield (For obvious reasons)

Some people even like the bonus elemental damage, if its a good enough % ::shrug::

The only 2 spells that any "non-newb" sorc uses are blizzard and fireball? :wave: :sleep:

Firewall? Meteor? Enchant? Lightning? Chain Lightning? Charged Bolt?

One can make cases for most of the other skills findable on Ormus's that I havent mentioned here.

Also take into account that Ormus Robes can be used by other elemental-damage characters, in which case any +sorc skills are totally useless and only the +% damage matters ;)

Yup yup yup yup yup... I recently picked up a 14% Lightning Charged Bolt Ormus in a trade game for cheap... They guy was basiclly saying that it sucked cause it didn't have a "cookie cutter" skill on it... I guess he's never seen a blanket of light covering the screen before... :yep:

Yea, the robes aren't always for sorcs.. I have a 15% cold one on my Frozen arrow zon. helps a lot.

one of my sorcs uses a +3 static robe.. helps save skill points for other skills.

i got a robe with +3 to frost nova and is only 1% from being perf.

My ormus is 14/15/15 firebolt... and I don't even use it....

Why sell them when you can atleast get something for them. I recently bought a +3 Frost Nova Ormus for 10 pgems...he didn't need it and I wanted to experiment.

PvM non mfer it's a pretty good armor, if it is your skill, or perfect damage, but for PvP or mf its useless

pvp its great if you are a sorc.... +3 blizzard pvp... you could have like level 52 blizzard

how is +3 energy shield a good skill? isn't it better spent (different ormus) somewhere?

energy shield has a lot of pre-req's to go through to get to the point where you can put points into that skill
