Shael In Stormshield?

is shael a good socket? or would a ed/max type be better for dueling purposes

Once again, ed/max jewels do not work properly in helms, armors, and shields. Shael is a waste for every barb build besides berserkers, since frenzy barbs can't use a shield, and conc/whirl are uninterruptable. ed/str would be the best socket for a whirler, while ed/ias would be better for conc.

Wasn't there talk of a sheal not being enough to reach the breakpoint for barbs anyway, and thus, was a complete waste socket on an ss for barbs? This was a long time ago, so it could be one of those 1.09 things that stuck in my head and is no longer applicable

Shael will make the SS reach next blocking frame as SS has 35 FBR and shael adds 20 more which hits the 42% FBR frame needed.

well there were other table for fhr and fbr that stood out for a big big portion of the patch and with them the next bp was not attainable for barb but they were all proven wrong like 6 months before patch and these tables came out and there were many mix ups between the tables. Ill let that be your excuse ;)
