hello, i am quite new around these forums and i have been browsing through the barbarian forums quite alot recently. i happened to see hal's conc barb guide and i must say that i find it very interesting. however, i have a few doubts to clarify. it was mentioned in the text that only 101 str was required to equip the axe but when i calculated, i found out that 110 str was required instead. why is this so? do ethereal items have lower requirements? i really do not know and i would appreciate it if you could tell me. thanks. while we are at it, i would also like to ask how it is possible to obtain max resists in hell. with arreats, we are only getting 30 resists and stormshield only gives some cold and lightning resists. enigma provides none. does this mean that all the resists come from charms? i am really stumped. it would be even better if someone could post their setup here for reference. thanks a bunch.

sorry for the long post, but i really want to know about these things. it would be greatly appreciated.

My Conc barb uses the following setup:

Arreats- 30 resis
SS- cold/lite resis
CoH-65 all resis
Gores
Ravenfrost
spiral-15 resis
Highlords 30% lite resis
Botd zerker(ethreal which is what gives it its 101 str req)
Dracs gloves

with 1 point in natural resis and a few charms i have perfect resis in hell. The enigma is really only if you're into PvP, if not, Chains of Honor is better for PvM in my opinion.

Ethereal weapon/armor pieces have 10 strength (and 10 dex requirement if applicable) requirement subracted from the regular requirements.

put a perfect diamond in the ss it will give you more lighting and cold and also add psn and fire res and p diamond is cheap. um rune is not worth using because its only 3 more to all res and is more useful being used in an armor or helm.

I have a Ethereal Bonehew which I'm saving for my mercenary, but it's requirements are just as high as the non-ethereal Bonehew. Is this because it's unique?

Another reason BotD req is only 101 is because its got a hel rune as part of the word.

Btw: Fade2Grey you would happen to be the same Fade that used to post in the Trade forums like a year ago would you?
