For skellimancer you definitely need Act 2 Nm offensive. For pnb I'm not sure; I'm no authority on that build, but I'd guess you'd go for cold aura.

Actually I find an Act5 to round up the enemies if your a poison necro... or if your a bonemancer if helps then get in line for a few bone spears. :thumbsup:

as already answered for skellie: might (a2 nm offensive)

as for pnb, I like an a2 defiance (a2 norm / hell defensive) equipped with a doom cryptic axe of something. That way you get holy freeze and defiance!

You can put a Doom Cryptic Axe on the Act 2 mercs? What type of weapon is that? I thought they can only equip spears, and that sounds an awful lot like an axe. =)

If it works, couldn't you equip Bramble and this axe with holy freeze on a Might mercenary for a skelemancer to get Thorns, Might, -and- Holy Freeze? That'd be great.

The Cryptic Axe is an elite polearm (http://www.diabloii.net/items/weapons/polearms-elite.shtml). Act2 mercenaries can equip spears and polearms.
