singing barb help

I know these kind of topics have probably been beaten to death by now but bear with me, i'm kind of new. How much energy should my singing barb have? I've heard some people say to stay with base energy, and some said to put lots of points into it. So which is it? Any help is realy appreciated, thanks.

I'm hoping to have my Singer Guide for next Monday.

I like a 3 Energy 2 Vitality approach

Any stats in Str//Dex take them from Vit

It depends what you plan on using for weapons. If you plan on 2x Wiz Spikes, you won't need too much Energy because of all the added mana + BO. If you plan on 2x HoTO (much better, in my opinion... res/skill/fcr), then you'll need about even vitality and energy, and only enough strength and dexterity to wear your gear.

Wiz is better then HotO. In this build a lot of +skills is a very bad idea
