How good is this rare sword compared to uniques?

I found this nice rare great sword yesterday and I'm wondering how good it actually is, if it's upgraded to colossus blade? Little comparison to doom or gf and maybe even some runewords. Dmg and ias is at least something spectacular imo...

It's like a CCBoQ, but without the 3 free sockets. You'll only get 1 socket on this one.

It already reaches the last WW breakpoint, so for that it doesn't need any more IAS.

It still is nothing compared to Eth BotD weapons, but what can anyway? Compared to unique weapons it's better than those IMHO. They're too slow to really compare to the speedy rares.

to be better then ethereal botds it has to have 40 ias, over 400ed and also be ethereal, mods like fools, 2 sockets, life leech, max dmg can make it a lot better then botds. in the pally forum there is a pic of a sword with over 900 max dmg and ias, go llook at hat 1 and thtas what u want a sowrd to look like

Etheral weapons get a 50% dmg bonus. Some rares can have autorepair mods, if they dont.... Stick a ZOD in it.

Ethereal items have double base dmg or defence compared to normal items ;)

That is what I thought - but how playable are they really? I play on ladder so there are not that many zods hanging around.

Well, if you ever find a godly ethereal item without self repair or a zod i would just use it up to single digits durability left, and then i would either retire it to a merc while hoping for that one Zod or try and see if i could trade it away for a fair price...

ok... help me here... i got a nice eth Small Crescent... 217-356 dmg... eth ofc ;) 6% ML (282% ED) is it worth keeping, to get a zod into? was told by some it was, but not quite sure... not throwing it away tho :p
