View Full Version : Cresent moon work for sorcs?
Ok, I was told Cresent Moon's -35% does not work for lightning traps and such (I believe because they are treated as minions).
Does the -35% on Cresent Moon work for Sorcs though (and for that matter, does Doom's - cold resistance work for sorcs as well)?
Thanks!

Yes, i believe so. You would have to keep the crescent moon equipped for each of your attacks to make that -35% enemy lightning resist count each time. Be sure that this is what you want to do, the loss of those +skills that would usually come in an orb will hurt your damage - maybe more than the damage you would gain from reducing enemy resists.
Doom would work the same way.

I think he meant to use the Cresent Moon as a merc weapon. Then will the Sorc lightning spells benefiet from the -35% resists was his question.

I don't think that's what the original poster meant.

That would mean a 47+ Sorc doing melee attacks...no comment.

No, it'd mean they were holding a melee weapon without actually hitting anything with it... you just have to hold the item to gain the benefits.
-resists on a merc will only aid the merc's attacks, not your own.

OIC said the n00b. You sure about that?
Yeah, from what I remember (played with +skill dmg and -resists a bit). It's what makes Facets useful, amongst other things.
