View Full Version : stone runeword...
Hello, i have a couple of doubts...
i had a 4 sockets superior great hauberk (572 def), so i decided to try stone runeword. The result is a 1917 def armor (282% enhanced defense). now comes my question...is that the expected final defense? i thought it would be a bit higher...
any comments are welcome, thx

Assuming that the Superior was not a (+10-15% enhanced defense) affix, you should have 2185 defense. However, I'm assuming that is not the case, since Great Hauberks can only get a range of 395-501 defense without a Superior mod. Assuming that you had a 15% enhanced defense effect on it, your normal defense would be 497, which is what is multiplied by the 282% enhanced defense.

It was a 14% superior armor... 502 base defense +14%= 572; 502*3.82=1917 defense... same question was answered on the paladin forums...
ok thx guys, i didnt know which was the right forum to ask this question

now that we are on this subject, i have a ethereal superior karken shell 906 def has no sockets and i think its 15%ed superior.
now should i have it socketed and turn it into Stone for merc use? would it be worth it?

Lets see, 906/1.15= 788 base defense.
788*3.65=2876
788*4.05=3191
That would be the expected defense... good luck :)

yeah i did this but i just wanna know if its worth its to use the quest and socket it, or is it a wast of the quest? (quest = larzuk socket item reward)
ya it's worth it imo.
I made the exact same think as you in a Sup Kraken Shell of 10% ed. Was at 864def i think. (basicly, the only difference between yours is the 5%ed more)
Turns out to be 287% (297% with the 10%ed) -- 3120 defense. You wont get anything better than that for a defiance pally. Mine have now 19500 defense!! He just wont die :)
Try it and good luck, yours could turns out better than mine :)

This is wrong, now you're also multiplying the 14% superior defense.
