Defense Vs. Missile

Ok how does this modifier work? Used search options => no posts found (though their was a database crash so older posts are missing). Checked the: “the impossible journey …” on general strategy forum => nothing. I am asking this question because I have 2 rune words that have this modifier: Sanctuary (+250 Defense vs. Missile) and Stone (+300 Defense vs. Missile) :strong: . I will ask few questions (probably some are dumb :bonk:, but …)

a. Do they stack (250 + 300 = 500)?

b. Does it work like?

I have base defense = 1000 and when I am under ranged attack these 250 and 300 are added in the final formula. So it will be 1550 for these attacks only?

c. Or

I have base defense = 1000 and when I am under ranged attack these 250 and 300 are NOT added in the final formula. So it will be 550 for these attacks only?

d. Or maybe

I have base defense = 1000 and when I am under ranged attack these 250 and 300 are checked after they pass my 1000 defense. So it will be 1000 checked and then check 550. Separate checking’s.

I'll give it a go.

a. Yes.

b. Yes. Your defense against ranged attacks in the case that you base defense is 1000 and you have 250+300 defense vs missile will be 1550.

c. N/a - see b.

d. N/a - see b.

e. In a way yes. say you get 50% more base defense from shout or defiance. The defense vs. missile is added after those modifications. So your base defense was 1000, add 50% from shout or defiance - thats 1500 defense. Then we add the 250+300 for a total defense against ranged attackers of 2050.
