I found a dimensional blade with 6 sockets and it is ETH, lvl 25 and does good damage for the lvl. Is this a good one to put the runeword in or am I just excited for nothing?

umm explain ur logic behind this??? why would u do it??? im sure the lvl would go up if ur thinking of using it for dueling..besides its a waste of a ZOD, but if u have 2123523 zods to spare go for it
i think the only weapon to use BOTD is an ethreal elite with high base dmg, such as a CB or zerker axe
this would be a waste
but hey, maybe im the noob in this case, just my opinion

Slight prob BOTD is a lvl 69 req'd

BOTD has a level requirement of 69, so it doesn't matter if your weapon's base requirement is level 25. Given that bad news, you can do much better than a dimensional blade. Phase blade, berserker axe, etc.
EDIT: Whoops, Wing beat me to it :)

Unfortunately excited for nothing.
The runeword "BotD" would make the level requirement go to Level 69, since the runewords always make the minimum level requirement equal to the highest rune of the word. Zod = clvl 69.
Another thought however is that Phase Blades cannot spawn ethereal, while at the same time Dimensionals CAN spawn the way you found it. Phase Blades and Dimensional Blades share the same Max damage, but the Dim will have much lower minimum damage, thus affecting your overall average damage.
It's up to you to try it out, but I would save that Zod for another Ethereal 6 sock sword.

Dimensional blade is exceptional right? I think botd requires runes higher than lvl 25 so its no use to use low lvl weap..

Just wondering, thanks anyways
There are only (2) things tht come to mind if I had this runeword.
Eth Zerker low req range 3 1 hand fast base speed
Range 4-5 2hander with high base speed.
Swords are a good otion also, but a Zerker can compete with the damage with less reqs 1 handed. Now if you intend on two handed sword go for it.
Anyway, as all said it would be rather wastefull in that blade.
Given that bad news, you can do much better than a dimensional blade. Phase blade, berserker axe, etc.
Ethereal dimensional blade would be a better choice than a phase blade for two reasons:
1. Eth dimensional has 20-52 dam compared to the 31-35 on the phase blade---higher max and higher average.
2. Looks! Eth dimensional blades win hands of down:cool:

Wrong place to ask, but are 6 socket 'Zerkers worth anything or should I just sell it to Charsi because it's not ethereal?
I posted one for trade a while ago in the trade forums and it went unanswered. That doesn't always mean it isn't worth anything though.

I'm sorry, but that has to be the worst idea I've heard since some guy told me he was making a Silence Ballista back in 1.09.

Dim blades are slower than phase though too.

It's always a good idea to at least skim the previous answers in a thread sonikki_
