sorry mep, i know i should post this in an ot thread that already exists, but this is kinda serious, so bear with me. lol...get it? bear? *ahem*
anyway, i logged onto my accounts today, after 2 days of not playing. i find that my paladin's enigma is missing. i just assume that maybe i dropped it in a mule game when i was real tired and forgot to pick it up, so i was like no big deal, i can make another. then i realized he was missing his shako, his sojs, his hoto, everything. then i panicked, checked all my other chars, saw that i was missing all my godly shape shifting charms of vita/sust. all 20 of them. missing the coh i made with the 4th ber that dropped on ladder west, missing all my runes, all my other runeworks, my botds, my tal armors, my everything.
now, i admit to using mh in 1.09, but i learned my lesson and i never touched another hack ever again. u can even ask my clan...they all use mh, and urge me to, but i refuse. so i guess i was hacked. i emailed bliz and they said they will do an investigation and see what happened. i have little faith in their word, however. i was hacked before and they did nothing. so i guess this is the end until the next ladder season. i really tried, i did, but i was getting bored, so maybe this is a godsend. anyway take care u guys, i'll stop by now and again to see what's up.

edit: in order to win the rest of my shizzle as prizes, u have to be on uswest ladder, as my account is there...
if not, i may devise an ironman tourney for chars lvl 9 to duel in. last man standing gets a share of the stuff, etc

wierd, as it turns out, i still have my other accounts untouched. i guess it was some nub i met in a duel and i wiped the floor with him, so he hacked into my account as revenge? anyway i found out i still have a botd ghost spear, 2 shakos, 2 tal armors, a perf mara, some other stuff i might find. i'll put these up either for prizes in a contest i'll be thinking up within the next week.

sorry to hear that.....unfortunately as fun as the game may be, blizzard does a piss poor job of dealing with hacking , cheating, botting etc.....
somehow i think we'll see you when the ladder resets....

I'm sorry, I just have to say it, this really pisses me off, plain and simple. Usually, hearing about occurences like this disappoints me a bit, that's all, but this time, I'm just ****ing disgusted.

i bet the acount that got hacked is the one you use pndle bot on.

hey stef, why don't u stick ur mr. righteous phuckstick where it would be most useful. perhaps up ur own arsehole? no i have never used a pindlebot. to tell u the truth, i hardly ever mf. i just find idiots to trade with. idiots like u if i ever found u online. o btw i use eblaster anyway, it logs all activity on my computer and it shows no foulplay was involved. so my account was taken client-side on another terminal.

That's like when eresh aka Swordraven got banned. I'm still mad about that. >< He even let me access all his accounts so I could count runes and check for the stuff he was "trying to steal." He WAS a paypal person however, of course he let me look at his ordering records so I could see what runes he bought to pay off the sword he was supposed to get. He didn't have the sword he was supposed to get and he didn't have the runes he agreed to pay, and he was banned for it. So dumb.
Did anyone have your password? (Clear your files, virus scan, etc, then change passes on all other accounts ASAP) Don't quit :S
Edit: To you people calling him a hacker..go die.
Perhaps someone had your pass from the old account scam, and waited til you got rich to use it? I don't know.
Edit2: If you do quit sell me a botd ghost spear/war pike/poleaxe and coh/enigma for my barb >.<

Haha bob you are funny. On a lighter note, I hope you figure out how someone accessed your things without you knowing. I for one know if someone had access to my computer that they could literally destroy everything I have.

no one has my password. no one as even accessed my account since i've had it. no one has my cdkey. i actually have 2 cd keys, since i accidentally broke one of my disks. no one has had access to my computer that i don't know of. eblaster like i said, keeps track of all keystrokes, mouseclicks, anyTHING that is done on my computer. i won't sell the stuff i have left. instead, i will probably host a lld tourney, or an ironman tourney for ppl who have nothing on west and want to start out. i have a bunch of low lvl stuff, duriel shells, stuff like that. well, any ideas ppl?
Well, if you aren't selling, I REALLY need the ghost spear :clap:

fen, all my runeworded items were stolen if u didn't get the msg up top. the ebotd ghost spear is the only runeword i have left, and it's because i muled it over after to make room for a doom eth thresher i was going to use. unfortunately, that eth doom thresher was stolen as well. too bad they nuked my lvl 90 hammerdin. he was an awesome rusher. 17k hammers 3.4k life. all res stacked in hell mode. too bad he's gone....

yeh shako + mara + enig + 2 sojs + arach + 10x combats + hoto + HoZ + anni. the dmg probably came out to 16.5k+, but the display read 17k on my char screen.
That sucks bad cold :/. I hope the ladder season ends soon too. Trying to trade for ohm, jah, ber runes and find that etheral colossus blade that I have not found in pit runs :rant: is such a pain the ***!

actually i have them still i think. a friend was borrowing them.
Its never any good news to see someone loose their account especially ladder chars. The sooner this ladder season ends, the better!
Do you think someone may have taken your account using brute force? An incident similar to this happened to me few months ago not on d2 but UO. I had some really nice items on one of my chars and didn't play for about a month. Log on month later and see some items missing! In UO, no one knows your acct name and strangely enough, I was only missing a helm of insight, but the best bow on the shard of pacific :rant:, and my ethy kirin. No one knew my acct name/pass and I had my comp regularly scanned for trojans/viruses every week.
Only thing I can think of that happened is there is still a possible loophole with e-mail password account recovery like there was about 1-2 months after ladder started up. Lots of peeps lost their chars, items, and everything that week....

that's strange, my readout said 17k. well it did. maybe it has to do with how my werebear dmg changed. it used to show 15k-15k. now it shows 14k-16k. i didn't touch a thing on him. but then again, all my chars are naked, so not much i can do.

The funny thing is I change my pws every few weeks and my "main" acct (*garbad_the_Weak) the one that gets like 50 hack attmpts a day has absoletely NOTHING good on it (not one rune, not one item, only old retired duelers).

yeh well i was hot headed. u can imagine how i felt at the time and being called a "cheater" right after i had lost my stuff and having a reputed clean record for years with everyone i'd met thus far just ticked me off.

Unfortunate what happened to you.
I'm wondering if this is how some of these websites that actually sell items and aren't just scams get their items. I'm sure we all agree that they don't go out and find them thmselves. I'm thinking they look for the top X amount of people on Ladder, and have some method of hacking Blizzard's servers to get account information, (I'm just assuming you were somewhere up on the Ladder rankings here, FYI.) since those players tend to have the high-end items like the Rune Words you got stolen and all that.

I feel your pain bro.. that's why I quit 16 months ago.. the only reason I started again was because some of my old friends started with the new patch on ladder. I don't play as much as I used to but I still enjoy myself. I think everyone on west ladder should donate some items to him :xgift: so he doesn't have to quit (If you change your mind let me know and I'll try to help you out)

I have not a single high level rune. It took me about 2 weeks to save up enough to get a bramble armor.
I don't have a high end weapon, at all, period. I *might* have a b-star sitting around somewhere, maybe. I've been using a 6 shael'd phase.
I don't have any max/life charms. I use 10 SS charms with life and resist/frw/life charms for the other 10 charms.
So please, stop saying how *rich* I am, because I have nothing.
Although I could probably could get it back... btw Garbad, PM me your accounts/passwords, I won't take anything without asking, but I only have the password to one of your accounts and it sucks being dirt poor since I gave you all my stuff. :(

It took me like two years to get a high rune, too. I forget how I did, probably happened sometime after I made my first real dueler, a Shaman. Oh wait, I had a semi-useful Zealot before that. Oh well, whatever. Bought all that stuff with SOJs.

it took me about 30 mins to get a high rune lol...i had like 125 top runes when i got hacked...along with all my godly dueling gear. so sad...

yeah i got my first runes when i sold my ethereal colossus blade...that was like when 10 came out..before that i used ...crappy items...like shaftstop (i hate that armor i always find it when nobody wants it) yeah i got a free bstar from somebody and i still have it ^^ and use it
