did i just get ripped hardcore?

hi all,
i am just wondering if i just got ripped

i got a gul rune from hell hellforge and didn't need it for any of my plans for characters or mercs. so i traded it for a humoculus. i needed it but im not sure i got a good deal, im VERY happy i got the humoculus as ive been doing pit runs for it and morrowwalk and not found either, best ive done was a rare boneweave ( the closest anyways)

Its only used in 2 Runewords, both weapons. Kingslayer, a decent weapon liked by Kicker Assassins, and the ever popular Fury.

if your gul was on NL then the trade is fine. if the gul is on ladder, you traded half of a Vex away. But as others have said, as long as you get something you wanted, it's a good trade.

I think gul is better, because you can get vex rune (which is useful) with another gul. But if you are on hc, you need fast items, and i think is better to get an item you use than a rune you can't, of course.

thanks guys. i would of liked a vex rune but it took me a long time just to get this one and yeah, i really needed the Humoculus.
if i have something i dont need i usually give it away unless i need something else....makes sence to me

Anytime you are happy with what you get in your part of the trade, regardless of it's battle net value.....then you should be happy (like you are) about it.

Getting ripped off, is when you don't get what you want out of any deal. And I have been laughed at by some 9-12 year old because I gave them the better of the deal (in battle net value) and didn't really care.

When you've played for a long time, and have had alot of stuff from trades and mfing like I have been lucky to do....then it doesn't bother me the least what some j@ck@ss thinks.

And there are alot of them out there.

Where I play (EuHcL), Guls go for Shako + @ in the trade channels because two Guls is a Vex and Vex is needed in many high-end runewords like Breath of the Dying, Heart of the Oak and Exile. That been said, that's only the general price of Gul. Not it's value. Value is very subjective and as long as you're happy with trade then everything is ok. Not everything in life has to be about profit.
