Though I am no newbie, I have recently started US East Ladder. I invite you all to post here of games where you need help or just want to hang. Find new friends, play some ladder and more!

Please refrian from posting trade topics, though. PMs or setting up trade meetings I'm sure are fine, but no trading in this thread. :thumbsup:

I will be, of course, on tonight, so come hang with us. I know Peacrusher and Necrochild are both USEast Ladder players too.

I'm on usually 9-12 weekdays and 9-god-knows-when on weekends.

I'm an Eastie non-ladder, with one toe in the west ladder (my first...Gods help me).

I'm usually on between 8-11pm, and sometimes between 3-5pm when I need a break. My account's *nymu and I'd love some team play for questing, baal running or just hanging. I'm not the fastest rusher, but can help out there as well...

I'm on all different times after 4 pm.... been playing ladder mostly We need to make some baal games for all of us... a regular lvling group... that no good kbob is beating my assin in lvls... and he started later.... grrrr...... and he got an Occy too. bugger.

Well, I'm usually on from 11p-4a, unless I'm off of work then it's all day (till I can't feel my butt from sitting in this chair anymore). errr...I got scammed for the oldest trick in the book the other day. I had just woke up and created an "occy here" type game...bleh bleh to try to trade mine off and i fell for the whole talarmor/rattlecage thing...I would've been really angry but I knew it was partially my fault for trading when I'm half awake. I've never once fallen for such a stupid scam before.

So remember kids, don't drink and trade...or something...

Same thing happened to me off ladder prior to patch... Trading my Occysoj ring.... for a HoZ... guy slapped up a gilded yellow instead.... real fast... caught me off guard....

Shame on me... for not being more careful.

I gave the guy credit for tricking me and warned him not to step in front of any busses... Karma ya know....

Earlier, someone mentioned setting up a channel, I believe. Was this settled or was this dropped as an idea? I think it's worth doing, since we don't have to seek each other out but just pop into the channel and see who is around and also have a place to chat or trade. It's like a clan but without the BS, I guess.

Name suggestions? I recall the first being 'hangin. We may want one more unique to avoid replication.

Setting up a channel sounds good to me.... however many of us are poppin in and out of games so fast that we don't spend time "chatting"

Any how USEAST Ladder - We nailed DC last night in a Ladder game. 2 necro's and a Kbob sorc... He dropped rather quickly once we got the proper combination of players.

TheKbob was the sorc as pea mention, pea was the summoner in trang armor, and I'm the bonamancer in blue.

Hopefully he'll come around again... Bonamancer + summoner + meteorb = anni charm. Shame it was "poo". ;)

A good lesson was learned from all of it at least. Poison mages do pmh, and thier poison length is long as hell so that makes them ungodly IMO, especially in a situation like that.

Note: Although he's dead in the burial grounds, we didn't use the bloodraven trick to do it. I beleive he actually spawned as bloodraven.

I'll mf some more...I'm thinking about just giving my new poisonecro my trang set and just let my MFmancer have weaker skells when MFing. I'll trade the 78% griz helm for 4 less MF in a shako i'll probably get/trade eventually for better +skills (didn't really matter before as I was prebuffing with trangs). I don't prebuff with me marrows so I'll just throw those to the nec poisonec as well. I'll just keep leoric and perhaps something else (maybe another boneflame if I find one...i've found 2 already...traded off) on switch and only do a mini prebuff. That'd probably save me alot of time switching gear, but it'll lead to weaker skellies

oh well :p...my merc and CE are the most important part of my MF venture, skellies help alot but they can't beat eth bonehew :D

I was thinkin of rebuilding my summoner with full mages... but dunno... He's pretty decent at the moment. I think that I put way too many points in revive when i started....

I hate to tell you that I was in that game for about 2-3 hours fighting him till Pea showed up.

I was on somewhere between my 5th to 7th mephy run just as I teled passed Sparkfist, I saw the soj counter move. I'm like, Ok, sure, w/e. I pound on mephy and when he died, "diablo walks the earth" appeared.

I immediatly went to the cold plains and cleared it leaving DC spawned as Bishibosh. Well, I tried to beat him, but to no avail.

Then I thought, HEY, Lvl my merc 5 levels so he can use bonehew. So I did...

1 hour later

DIE... and my merc did. Though, I saw the life leech swish on him before he died (3 times I did this too) and come to the conclusion, Prevent Monster Heal doesn't work on DC.

Ok... so lets try the bloodraven trick. 30 Min later I finally lure him there and kill Blood... well that doesn't work any more, Damn!

Then hour or so later, pea gets on followed by NC, and the rest is history.

I'm building up a Summoner so he can run pindle and eld and a Hammerdin to run baal, so yeah.

Harbinger's Poisonmancer did most of the work while, one the dii members who joined, snatched the Anni and din't give it to homey, who had asked for help....

I have an avid Starcraft friend at school who I could get a bot (The good, just holding a channel open kind, not the look at me i can do Pindy 298347519045 times while asleep) from possibly, so I can look into that. I don't think channel holding bots are not allowed, or are they? I dunno, oh well, I'm going to go AFK then work on my prop.

I got four uniques from a mf Hell Baal run the other day. With 260 MF, I got Deathbit, Eth Rattlecage, Crainte Vomir (unique espandon), and a Lacerator.

Talk about random. This drop is to suck (except the lacerator, I guess).

Anyway, OP Super Nec Friends sounds like a good name to me.

Good luck with that thesis, by the way. I'm in the same boat, right now. Two months until the deadline. I know that's not a long time, but I still tell myself that DII is somehow research...

I was getting better uniques when i was lower too. at 200-250 range I got my bonehew... but I've still been getting good things lately they just are farther apart. The Set Kraken shell was kinda cool to see drop from pindle last night. BTW... my last meph run when we were laggin so bad last night gave me my blackbog's.... So at least dieing 4 times turned out something good. You using gheeds too?... I need a new one... I don't think that I'll get another to drop until I xfer mine or sell it.... what to make an offer :LOL:

I got a blackbogs for a low rune once (someone needed it...ral or something) and about a month ago I entered a game called "Aol sucks" and I told the guy I know how he feels. He was a nice guy and gave me one...I really didn't need it but I didn't want to insult his offer :p. I traded one of them really cheap to this one nice kid who had a poisonecro in a low lvl pvp. It was just me, my fiance's brother and him and he had really lousy gear, but he was trying :p. He acted like blackbogs was the spawn of god when I showed him it so I traded it to him for a few pdiamonds and ptopazes.

Yeah, I got a gheeds. 22% MF woo hoo :p. 14% cheaper gambling though, something to spend that extra gold on.

I might use a BB as switch, that'd be a good switch weapon :)

I got a 30-33% Gheed's in a Pit run. It was sweet to see that. It's useful, but I did want to see what sort of things I could get for it. I went into a "Bring Gheeds" type game, and was told "it's kinda low". So I didn't even bother and just left the game.

I know you have some big skills but it doesn't mean much if you can't find anything to put it into. After all, its not the size of the number but how well it penatrates.

Badly. Well, not that badly. But not that great.

I found a Magewrath, but I have one already. My mules are crowded as it is, so I just gave it away in a game called "some free". With it, I also gave away the unique Jagged Star called Moonfall:

+120-150% Enhanced Damage
Adds 10-15 damage
Adds 55-115 fire damage
+2 to Light Radius
Magical Damage Taken Reduced by 9-12
5% Chance to cast level 6 Meteor on striking
Level 11 Meteor (60 Charges)

Oddly enough, none of these mods are all that bad, but all of them except the enhanced damange are "gravy" mods, or mods one is happy to have but aren't essential to the quality of the item. When you put a bunch of fire-related gravy mods together on an item you get....a crappy item. When I left the game, a third person was dropping it after picking it up.

I did manage to get a pair of Trang gloves, but only after I traded some of my best runes for pair thirty minutes prior. I traded for them because I was tired of hunting for them, so Baal, in all of his wickedness, dropped them saying, "You fool, I was waiting for you to trade your Ko's for these! Muahahaha!" :bonk:

Maybe we can't trade here, but posting a "keep and eye out" for a rune or item wouldn't be too bad as long as further transactions were PMs.

Well I got another good deal last night. Baal run with 2 friends that are not on these boards resulted in me getting a unique sacred armor. :surprise:

I'm going to level my sorc one more time to hit 84 so merc can get to 84 to use Tomb Reaver. It's 3 sockets but poor ed, but almost perfect MF. Once he can use it, its pit runs for me and maybe if he is strong enough, Baal. Sorc with revived will be awesome.

Then I have level my Summoner with Full Trangs, Holy Freze paladin with some nice gear, Hammerdin, and top off my IK barb that now has 1337 gear:

I'm sick of getting doubles, 2 burizas in one day a few months back, 2 dwarf stars in a 24 hour period, and this morning 2 IK mauls within 15 minutes!

Nothing compared to my two nozokian relics yesterday. "UNIQUE ammy...sweet..."*ids it* "!&)#&%^^%".

Two bladebuckles yesterday, two bloodletters...gah...i had some more doubles...just annoying crap it is...

Had a couple of good Mf games last night... though I couldn't play long...

Found a really Nice helm for merc... rare eth grim helm with 400 def and decent mods 24% fire resists.. and one socket.

Also a griz helm dropped in the same game... lol

Vile husk sword... not great but not awefule either.

summon charm for drood... can't find anyone to take it.... grrrr.
eth dark clan crusher.. perf mods on it... viscerant shield, razorwitch staff.

I'm having a lousy time mfing. I have pretty good mf (a little less than 200%), but it takes me for ever to get my skellimancer to hell mephisto. Three times someone beat me there without me knowing. Damn teleporting sorcs... All I have to show for it is a +1 cold skills grand charm... found it while I was en route to mehpy.

Anyways, I'm usually on mon/wed/fri mornings and most evenings. Mostly non-ladder and always sc (way too much stress for me). My account is *Guntaas. Everyone on my current friends list (except my brother-inlaw) is too flakey for real playing. I'm usually up for whatever.

Maybe y'all can help me decide on a sc ladder char. My first ladder was a failed shifting druid (he was also my first char). I'm leaning towards another necro, maybe a psn/skelli, but I've never mad a 'zon or paladin before...

Gutaas post reminds me that we should probably start trying to organize a little better. Are we not allowed to post games name//pw stuff on here if we want to play together? If several of us get together, we could do a lot more good MFing than while we are all separated. I have now exceeded the 400% mark with a lucky Skullder's Ire drop against Hell Baal, and I haven't noticed a difference. I think it's because I'm the only guy in the game.

One time, I was getting Soj sold the merchants messages every 30seconds, and I wanted to post that the DClone was on its way on this thread. But I vaguely remember this being a no-no.

Perhaps we should start a Ladder USEast clan? Just some thoughts.

Hey guys, I tried to let you know about a DClone. Some messages didn't through and some did. Anyway, he's dead now, and the game is gone. :) It turns out a Summoner can kill the DClone if he found a Duriel's Shell while MFing to put on his Mercenary. A strategy that I used with great success was to head to Act I to generate him and sit my Summoner next to a well. I kept drinking from the well to give my summons their health back. Now, my skellis were level 35, and they were getting chewed up a little fast. That leads me to believe that you need to have a really advanced summoner with a lot of good gear for him, and, even then, you have to jet every so often to get more summons. It took me about 15 minutes to kill him.

That was first Dclone experience. Lotsa fun.

Now, my skellis were level 35, and they were getting chewed up a little fast.

I fought the clone for the first time last weekend. My skellis were only lvl 32, and the lasted about 10 seconds against him. My merc wasn't much help either. He kept healing faster than I could hurt him... One of my buddies convinced some people in the chat room to help out. Finished him quick after that. Someone else got the charm and ran... It was fun regardless.

well a couple things.

I haven't touched my necro in a week. I turned my sites to my other chars. I built a strafer, got her to like 50'ish, and hated her. Damn'ed nerfed guided arrow.

I built a wind druid, and can I just say this here: HE ROX. He solo'd norm baal at level 34 (because I was bored). Solo'd a1 nm after that. rushed to nm baals, and is now sitting pretty at 62, and rocking and rolling NICELY.

Now the sad part. I have all his gear. It's all "uber leet". This includes: ss / arachnid / soj / bk ring / perf ss trek's / shako / 28 maras / perfect hoto / decent gheeds / great anni and i was dying to get a ENIGMA for him. So my friend emails me at work this morning and says "my marriage can't handle my d2. i quit, take my account. i'll call you tonight."

So now g has enigma!

but g has 1 friend left on b.net :(

So the point?

Other then to show off, I need 2 things:

1. People to play with on b.net
2. A hell rush tonight. I will help on killing, with mf, but rusher can have drops if necessary / no hell forge.

I am pretty old when it comes to this game. I've been playing necros for years it seems. They're by far my favorite class. And after a long break I'm back to owning as a necro. I came back to diablo for 1.10 and jumped on the hammerdin bandwagon...by my hammerdin flopped. So now I'm in the process of lvling and questing with my skelliemancer.

Is there anyone else who's working their ways through the acts, and leveling as they go? I'd love to get together with some of you. Its hard to find other players on the realms who just don't teleport around with enigma in circles. The necro channel is always down, most bnet necros are noobs, and all the oldie necros I used to game with appear to be dead. So I need some new friends everyone!
