Should i build a poisonmancer?

I just found a wand with +3 to P&B +3 to piosonnova, no further stats.
Is it any good, should i build a poisonmancer around it?
I have some basic stuff to build one, vipermagi, +3 P&B amu, +2 necro head,
+3 P&B tiara etc. = +15 to poisonnova.

Plz advise.

It's certainly nice poison necro wand. My necro is still using +2 nec, +2 pnova wand with two poison facets and I'm doing just fine in Hell Act 5.

I've been wondering, what other weapons there are for Venomancers beside the obvious Death's Web (that's beyond my reach) ? +3 PN "White" is nice, but it cannot be socketed with facets. Blackbog's Sharp might be ok, but if I only use Poison Nova then it's clearly not as good as other choices. Any ideas?

It would be difficult to get a better magical wand to support a Poison Nova Necro, there are only one or maybe two of the extremely rare unique wands which would be better. If you do build one level 45 is going to be a massive step change in your Nova's killing power = +12 skills all at once :surprise: and that should make Nightmare a stroll :lol:

Actually Blackbog's with a facet or the mentioned White wand are pretty good options.

With or without Facet, Blackbog's still is a nice replacement for a poor Venomancer.

Blackbog is a nice dagger and if sorcees decides to use Poison Dagger then it clearly would be useful. I have not found a Blackbog yet (despite extensive mf trips so they are not exactly growing on trees) for my daggermancer but I'm not worried since I have a Fleshripper waiting for level 68 :strong:

If Poison Nova was the main weapon for sorcees build, and it is safer to use than the dagger, then that +3 P&B and + 3 PN wand is better than a Blackbog which only gives +4 to PN. And of course you could put a poison facet (if you found one) in the wand :surprise: .

True the wand would be better. But are +3 PN wands with two sockets very common?

Not sure, I've never found one or even a 2 socket with +2 PN and say + 2 Lower Resist which would be a nice White wand for a Poison Nova Necro especially if they used skeletons.

Its a blue one (magical wand), and i bought it from Anya in HELL.
(I was just checking for a +2 necro with good extra mods, i am poor),
and it costs me 1200K gold, so no more gambling for a day or so.

Normally i play summoner, HCL, and a poisondagger is not my playingstyle, so i think it will be poisonnova with only skellies and some 1 point wonders.

I think i could search for TO gloves (i lost some, due to mortality).

Speaking of Wands for socketing...I heard suggestions to farm NM Drognan for possible wands for making White. Problem I found is that NM Drognan only sells blues, which you can't make into runewords...no?

Also, slightly OT, but are Bone Helms capable of spawning or being gambled with +2 Skills mods? I ask because while I like my nec's pallid punum, I do so love the look of the Bone Helm, especially with that slightly yellowish tinge of decay...

He gives me blues as well. So I farm norm Vendors.

Bone Helms can not get +2 Skills.
