View Full Version : Feral Rage question from a new druid

I have only been playing a druid for a few weeks and have a basic question.
I know that the life steal provided by feral rage increases with additional hits. Do these hits have to be using the feral rage skill or can they be with another attack, such as fury?
I thought I would be able to tell just by watching the size of the swirling light. However, sometimes it seems to increase when using fury attack and sometimes not.
Thanks for the help.

You can use fury and still use the leech. However, the leech only increases when using feral.

Yea usually people power up the feral rage will it gets the full ball and switch to fury. It is a great way to leech massive amounts of life.
Welcome to the forum!
Also, FAVORITE CHARACTER EVER!!!! (jax that is)
Every permutation of that name is taken on the realms sadly.

I'm building a new druid using these skills (my first druid!). Question, for this build do you guys think oak or wolverine is better?
I cannot seem to decide and about 10 skill points are sitting on my wolf unspent because of it...

Well, most WW druids go with Oak because they don't get as big a life boost as, say, a bear. Bears tend to go for HoW because of their lack of AR boosting equiptment. However, it's your choice either way. If you can afford to pump Vit, then go for HoW and tear through some demons.
Im not 100% sure about this but i think oak is best for all in pvm but in pvp bears need HoW .... any conformation ?

I had a Ribcracker bear a long time ago and he NEEDED HoW to keep his AR up. He never PvPed, but I can honestly say that, yes, a bear needs HoW.
Doh ...... well i said i wasnt sure about it :thanks: thanks for clearing things up ...... i only used HoW on my bears but i was thinking getting 6 k would be good enough pvm .... guess not.

...No they don't.... not for p v m. Not generally.
So I was right .... weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee i was pretty sure that 5-6k always did well in pvm ... but i havent tested out in .10 so i was taking a stab in the woods.

Wait, where are you getting 5-6k? Are you maxing block?

Like... 4K AR is enough for p v m. You can probably get by with 3K. That is... as long as you have the level for where you're at.

...Do you use charms?

Only charms I ever find are GCs that add MAYBE 10 to AR. I have really bad luck.

That makes sense then.
That's also odd, I can't count how many steel grand charms I've found.
