My ww-sword-barb fell in love with a rare giant sword dropped by mephisto. Its the best sword i've ever whirlwinded with since the game came out. I've upgraded it to balrog (on ladder btw :))

Here she is:

Ghoul Needle
One hand dmg: 75-377
Two hand dmg: 276-593
45% IAS
403% ed
+106 Attack rating
Adds 108-138 Fire dmg
Adds 1-4 Cold dmg
9% Manaleach
Socketed with 30ed/ias jewel (original 373% ed and 30% ias)
Hits final ww-breakpoint.....

I've seen some people's harpoons in the Trading forums (Uswest). They were REALLY godly, something like:

High IAS(I think it was 40% or something)
High ED (can't remember exact stats, but it was something like 380+ed)
Leech
Replenish quantity
AR

Yeah, that's what so neat about 1.10. They've made good rares more *rare*. Remember in 1.09 when nobody would even bother to pick up and ID the rares unless they were something like Diadems or Sacred Targes. Now, in 1.10, the rares are sometimes better than the uniques!

Hehe, I myself am still waiting for that Ethereal Fools Cruel Weapon of Quickness. I saw the most dissapointing thing I'd ever seen a few days ago non ladder. It was fricken beautiful except for one thing, not a DROP of IAS and only one socket..

I saw a 1-500 lightning and 111-184 fire damage for a clapsed orb once. FOR AN ORB!! How come I don't see an axe doing that?

My friend also found some decent rares, but his best would definitly be this thunder maul:

409%ed
+101-147 fire damage
and some other minor traits. This maul is incredible, great for a titan but horribly slow! My suggestion would be to use it on a Druid :)

Naw, a Druid needs more speed on weapon than a barb... use it on a charge pally... that is a char that truly won´t care for the speed :p

oh, and it is ethereal. if i calculate right, this thing wil run roughly 410-500 one-handed with 0 base speed once upgraded. wish I could Zod and Shael it!

With my first ladder Char I gambled this baby, my barb still uses it since lvl 30ish (can't remember exactly what lvl i gambled it at)

Wow nice stats everyone. My merc uses a cruel eth Highland blade that does 475 2H damage--only 227% but the cruel adds a lot too.

Oh and 20% IAS doesn't make a [20] WSM [0] WSM. You'll need more than 20 extra IAS on a paladin for example with a [20] weapon as with a [0] weapon for say 4fpa zeal.

I upgraded mine to battle hammer, here's a screenshot. I am torn between upgrading to legendary mallet or not; damage goes up to about 410-490, but requires an extra 89 strength points, and the damage on this one is still swwweeeet for an exceptional weapon.

hehehe. that's what I find so amazing -- upgrading would increase average damage by 75 points and provide a much tighter damage range, but this is nothing to sneeze at.

I personally would not use such a maul, because of my own preferences. That does not mean the weapon is useless, tho i concede it might be useless.

It has nothing to do with ias breakpoints.
Saying 'oh it's a huge damage maul with NO ias at all, so you better put it on a druid' is a common misinformed idjut statement.

id reupgrade the mallet to legendary, granted the max only goes up to 49x, but your min will scoot up severl hundred to the low/mid 400s, itll make the weapon completely nuclear

Seriously test the Hammer/Mallet on a chargedinn... use it on a lvl 53pally and see how he fares in mid lvls with that beast.. if you like it then upgrade it and keep using it...

Any jewel of Freedom, it will give the same -15% reqs but it could also add quite a bit of extras...

Did you see this sword on Europe? Ive now seen two barbs who have duelled with an eth balrog blade that was gold, 4xx%ed ias and zodded. I cant say for sure they're the same but im 100% sure they both just broke the 900 max dmg mark.

I asked the second barb i saw with a gold rare bb if he traded it, he told me he found it...Well guess ill SS next time they show their sword (after killing me of course :P)
