Is this etup good for a smite/charge pvp pally?

Hi all!
I'm in the middle or trading for parts for my nec smite/charge paladin. It will mostly be for pvp in a small community. All legit and nothing uber, no teleporting enigmas and 9k hammerdins.

This is what i have in mind:

20 Holy Shield
20 Smite
20 Fanatism
20 Charge
rest in defiance

Shako
Shaft
verdungo
highlords
waterwalk
2*raven (or 1 raven + ? )
ik gloves
Redeemer+upped HoZ will be my smite switch
Death Cleaver+Alma negra will be my charge switch

With charge i'll have ~90% Deadly strike which, if trigger, would deal about 9k-10k dmg. My smite dmg would be about 2k average + the dmg from redeemer.

I'm not very rich so i wont have any combat charms, basicly some res charms, life charms and an anni.

I'll socket most things with prubies(except shield) for more life.

Does this look like a decent build or is there something i can improve?

PS. dont talk about expensive runewords cuz i cant afford them. i emptied my budget when i traded for HoZ.DS

well 1 prob is u will be hitting at 8 fps with the redeemer
i suggest u shael it, but u still need 35 more ias to reach 6 fpa smite.
some nice crafted blood gloves/bloodfists might help u and ias jewels in gear, but otherwise i dont know.
if someone can point out my calculations are wrong then plz point it out :)
but iirc then the redeemer can only reach 8 fps smite with lvl 20 fana, with shael it reaches 7 fpa, and 55 6.

yes, you are right, i checked the tables. luckily i have 20ias from highlords so a shael in the weapon and an ias jewel in the shaft is what i need to add. I dont wanna switch ik gloves cuz the str/dex bonus gives so much life.

btw, is charge weapon speed or ias independent?

i forgot, i'll use a leviathan if i can get one...would give >100 more hp :)

well, 80 less life and the ias wont help me...but with bloodfists i'll reach 48% fhr...i hate to sacrifice life, but i suppose your right... a leviathan could make up for it though...

well if u wanna get high life on ur pala id suggest not using leviathan(it requires 174 str) the 40-50 str bonus gets u over 200 which is overkill imo.
but if u do have the gear to boost ur str about 170-180 then i dont think it matters much, but imo shaft offers same dam reduce as well as some hp boost at the sacrifice of defense, i like shaft more, but then again i dont like building high base str chars cuz i wont have much life in the end.

i missed the high str req on leviathan...you are absolutely right about it! the high def is nice, though an upped shaft would come kinda close and with lower str req...
