i find it hard to get corpses for my skellies in nm, so should i get a high lvl fire golem??
or should i just get a high lvl merc because i'd rather have high lvl clay golem, like my bonemancer does

Just go to the cold plains and let your Merc kill something.

Or if you have access to the Zombie Garden outside Nihlathak's temple, just walk in and raise the bodies that are already laying there.

I like to get the first corpse myself. In hell, it goes a little something like this. I amp a quill rat, run up to it, whack it with my arm of leoric, it gets mad and shoots a bunch of quills at me, I run away, but not after using 3 full rejuvs. I amp it again, only to discover it's healed what paltry damage I've done to it. Then it kills me, but not before I use 4 more full rejuvs.

Or you could use a merc who will kill it in a whack or two. The above scenario has happened to me, when I have a run of bad luck and my merc keeps dying. (Iron Maiden) I then have no money to resurrect my merc, so I have to create a normal game to kill stuff to find cash, to be able to resurrect my merc in hell and kill stuff.

My merc makes the first corpse. Amp and 2500 damage are quite devastating at hell act1 :D
Havent seen a guillrat which can resist the call of death.

I usually do it for my merc and gumby, and in a short time have 11 Skeletons fending for themselves, though PN is how I go about it.

Your merc should be able to do it, depending on it's level and weapon.

There is a simple way it, but it takes some practice. Use a clay golem and IM the monsters the monster will hit ur clay golem and die. It takes some time but it works.
