I'm curious as to what skills/stats/gear would be needed to make the ULTIMATE Zon Hunter...

I'm sorry if this offends but I'm to the point where zon's are doing nothing more than ticking me off. I am toying with the idea of making a hunter char just for pvp and only pvp against zons (all types)

Any imput on this idea? I haven't made up my mind yet to do it, so that is why this is a hypothetical build...

Sorc's tend to be just about as bad as zon's but I give them a repreave to my rage atm.....

Bonemancer sounds reasonable to me. Let the bone armor absorb whatever damage they throw at you, use bone wall/prison to take away their fast running ability.... then just spam bone spirit out the wazoo.

Ko+Ko+Mal I'd imagine to be quite useful for slow missles. It stacks with decrepify too. I'd probably be on weapon switch of course.

My Commando Rocks Zons. Nothing like dodge lock. BUT, why do you want an anti zon necro? There aren't a whole lot there any more.

Ouch... Hurt my feelings.... Go for advice and such and received Flamage... BTW I'm not looking for trades here I just asked about approximate worth/value.

Since experiementing with other chars I've learn much about the other communities... And Now I truly understand why Zon's have such a bad rap about their tudes.... Thanks for making that abundantly clear. Now I'll slink away and go to a more friendly environment.... Geez Druids are even better than this... :rant:

And they're just simple and stupid, wheras Zons quite have the attidute typical of thier class. Busty and stupid.

I make a proposal... Can we recruit 3 builds of necros to simply hunt Amazons? One necro of each build will cover any contingency that we may face... I've already got a good poison necro working... Perhaps Kbob will lend his commando... Now we only need a l337 bonemancer... any volunteers??

Maybe throw in a mojomancer so we don't have to worry about curses... that makes four... Hmmm We could call ourselves the 4 horsemen... or deadmen... or something... Hey I'm starting to cheer up a little... revenge can be sweet.

Ahh man.... saw your post in the zon forum Peacrusher and that guy that flamed you as been pretty much rude to everyone in the posts that I've seen from him. Not all zons are necessarily bad. Hope your not hunting in HC east :)

I'll be doing my hunting on east but not on HC... I have way too much respect for those guys... I can't imagine losing a char I work my but off for cuz of lag or something else... any way.... HC is safe....

There was a new poster... basically a zon calling that flamer one of the "bad guys".... Still not been talked down from MY clocktower.... heh heh heh.....

Hunting will begin tonight.... heh heh heh

Well ya thaqt's the challenge. A necro hunting a zon...well it's kinda like a zon humting a necro in 1.09.

And for reason this reminds me of that Underworld movie where the vampires were tryin' to wipe out the poor werewolves....more fittin' for the necro forum druid tude but this thread just reminded me.:music:

Besides Pc, that danc123 guy with flamin' flames was askin' me questions on this board just the other day...he's not necesarily zon-affiliated.

I just resently decided to give the amazons a chance though so I don't blame ya. Get any pretty peirced ears yet? :xcool:

Damnz if this was west I would have happily joined you to hunt for zons with my Bone Necro :p haha nothing more fun then killin some annoyin Amazon, lol I would make a east Necro.... but no gear ohwellz maybe I could copycat you and do this on west..... I dunno but it sounds fun to do for a few hours.

Hey my main character's a druid. Goddamn I miss the old druids. I had a druid right when LOD was released. I got to hell ancients solo by level 60-something. Of course they were all three phys immune so the druid got dropped there... but he was sickening against anything not phys immune. Now my druid dies before I can get feral rage charged up half the time. And the other half I get Iron maidened and die before my fury attack finishes.

Anything I can't leach. Anything with decent range damage. Anything with Iron Maiden. Anything with any sizable thorns (the ratmen in durance of hate come to mind). All are death for my druid before he even has time to turn tail. Meanwhile every other paladin I see is bragging about soloing 15 Dclones at once, at level 3, untwinked, in MF gear, with one hand while asleep. I say if you want to hate someone. Hate paladins.

Building my Hammerdin now ;).

Just kidding. Im mostly focussing on my first d2 character. My good old summonmancer. I see skeles got beefed up... though I miss the old 42 skeletons on screen while I was still using sigons guard.

Just about every movie I LIKE had dissapointing reviews.

I'm also a Burton fan, and the reviews can suck with his stuff, yet many still manage to become classics

Oh, then through word of mouth it depends on what they like.

My girlfriend went with me and she thought it sucked. She loves traditional vampire lore and she hates it when Hollywood stretches it. I find it intriguing.

Just my opinion, however.

I will chime in and say that a Bonecaster would be the best bet for dealing with Amazons, as well as throwing in a clay golem and a holy freeze merc to boot.

sorry...i was too lazy to read the whole thread, but here is my zon strat.

First off having 1k+ life is essential, max block, close to max resists, and high fater run/walk.

If they use a bow, always have a bonewall between the two of you, and have a golem out. The arrows will not track you, leaving them vulnerable to attack. If they use multi shot I unleash a barrage of spirits at them. Pretty often they will get hit by a few invisible spirits stunning them by either hitting them or forcing them to dodge. Once they are stuck in a dodge/stun lock mode it is pretty easy to move in and keep them there.

If they use javs you have to maintain your distance. Decrep, and bonewall, and do not let them hit you with charged strike. With decrep, and a few walls blocking their path you are free to fire a few spirits, and cut off their escape lane with spears or stun them with teeth.

That is about all that I can think of. With my bone necro zons are realy the least of my worries. If you don't have wisp/raven/dstar foh pallys and sor's are probably gonna give you the most trouble.

my necro build at the top of the forum works quite well on zons, now heres something to aim for agaisnt a zon

high lvl bone armor, absoutely required, else their arrows are going to eat you alive

max block, really required here, reduces your chance of getting hit by 75%

50% DR or close enough, reduces damage, less bone armor recasting

if you dont mind being BM or exploiting bugs, i suggest using marrowalks for the synergy to bone armor, you really dont need bone prison to get zons, get enigma, get right smack on top of them and spear or teeth them to death, nothing like dodge lock :D
