Welcome to the official Europe Trade Forum (ETF) photo site thread :wave:

The Pics
If you're a member of this forum and would like to share your real life aspect with the rest of the community, you can do this by having your picture(s) posted on the official ETF Members Gallery (http://etf.planetsmilies.com/) website.

The Maps
Another aspect of the ETF Members Gallery are the maps. Any member who submitted his or her location will be shown on them, with their names acting as links to their respective galleries.
The World Map (http://etf.planetsmilies.com/map1.html) (accessible through the link in the lower left corner of the main page) is for members of the ETF, who dont actually live on the European continent. And the Europe Map (http://etf.planetsmilies.com/map2.html) (accessible by clicking on "Europe" on the World map) is -you guessed it- for the European Europeans.

How to submit pictures:
1. Find some nice pictures of yourself, your family, your house, or whatever you think would be interesting to see for the other members. The format should be bmp, jpg, gif or pcx.
2. Send them to SommerSky (pjc@teacher.com).
3. SommerSky will take a look at them, resize/convert them if needed and forward them to me.
4. If everything's fine (99% of the cases), your pictures will be posted in a new gallery in a matter of days.

How to submit your location:
1. Download the Europe (http://etf.planetsmilies.com/europe.zip) (100kb) or World (http://etf.planetsmilies.com/europe.zip) (34kb) map. They come zipped and in different formats.
2. Choose one and mark the place you live with a small dot.
3. Attach the edited map to your pictures (if you were going to submit some) or send it here (skythe@planetsmilies.com).
4. Don't forget to put your forum nickname either on the map, or in the mail!

To Herald of Doom: if you can't figure out how to do the map, just tell us your location, I think we can find it on the map and dot you. I was looking at your pic, and I was fascinated. Your keyboard is totally different from mine, actually I already knew this cos every summer I go to Europe I just cannot type right and have to look at the keyboard when I type. :P Maybe one of these days I should post a pic of my keyboard, showing you guys how complex mine looks since we have to use the keybaord to type both English and Chinese. Well in danish it's called Sjælland, in english it's called Zealand I belive. The city is called Copenhagen :) Same place as Ben Dover i think.

So we decided not to post the new pic you sent in since we really can't see much of you anyways. Hi Ivasar, your 3 trial of sending the pics succeeded and I have forwarded the pics to Skythie. In fact, I just noticed that your 2nd trial also succeeded, but I guess since it was so large (1.1M) it got thrown into the "bulk mail" box, hence, I didn't see it before. Sorry.

Regarding comments, you can just post here your comments and we will add those comments to the corresponding piccies. Or send Skythie a PM. :P

Well, this is NOT Poland at all :) To be frank, its Portugal, about 3500 km from my home sweet home.. This is photo from holiday time last year, and there you got Prince Henry leading his navigators forward in the monument of the discoveries at Lisbon Harbor. Of course, photo is cut in pieces for its huge size in original. Its most western part of Europe you can reach, there is only 1 point more in west than this one. Poland is 3500 up north-east from Portugal, but.. what am I to say? Dont know, we have interesting history, medieval and modern as well... But I dont know if its time to share my knowledge about polish hstory, here, hmm :) It would be boring too much for majority of you.

Basically, the ETForum@lycos.com is an address that SommerSky has specially dedicated to receiving pics. After he has seen it, he sends them to Skythe (the second mail address is his) to post them in the page, so...

Whatever you do, it'll get to him eventually :)

i have a VERY nice story to tell u, and maybe it could be a good argument, why all the old legit players shouldnt quit the game for the reason that other hack/duper/ or whatever (*insert bad word*) they might do.

story:
As most know, im kinda a lvl9 freak, and on another forum where lvl9 items are traded often, i found a charm that i liked. a life/ar to be precise. Last week i had already almost lost my biddingwar for a similar charm to someone that was offering cta's,ohm, vexes, guls etc like if it was gems. i kinda got carried away on that one a nice bidding war started... finally i won the trade after cleaning all sojs on my chars, selling most of what i had , as the seller had a weird value, and valued my sur rune, traded here from krischan, was valued as 8 * vex. so even if the other guys was offering cta, ohm, sojs etc etc i still won it . never understand why, but seller values always win.

ps the guy that was overbidding is new on that forum, and we where already paying like 5 times the price they usually go for...

now today there was a new similar charm posted, we made the usual low starting offer, and gradually overbidding. i sold a lvl9 jewel to get some new guls that i could offer, and then the same new guy entered and offered
bk, bk, soj, soj soj soj, ist gul, ohm, botd, enigmas... blalal. even the seller was like WTF. i retracted my offer on the charm as i was in no way gonna compete with legit items vs someone that looked very bot-like.

finally i go a om from the seller saying, he'd also findet his offers very suspecious, and agreed on a lower trading price (that we both agreed) then the botter his offer., saying that trading with him would only encourage botting. the seller might have lost some legit but botted runes, sojs, bj's, etc etc but he still prefered a legit offer.

little ps, the charm was not uber, it had no perfect life, and no perfect ar.
so maybe this is a good reason for all who quited and i miss here.

quiting, just reduces the people that should give an example to all newbies who get tempted by the evel side. encouriging staying legit by giving, helping, givaways, etc is the only right way. i hope this little story has shown that there are still people who value a legit sol rune higher then 2000 * 290's, and that we need legit old members to keep this game fair or the evel side will win.

I have revise the ETF Members Gallery and made some changes to the layout. The old one was in fact getting 'old' so this is v2.0. ;)

The change you might notice first is that there are now flags next to users' names indicating their nationality. I hope I got them all right - if not, correct me here.

The second change is the switch from HTML to PHP, so if you got your personal gallery bookmarked you'll have to update it with the new URL.

Smaller changes include a counter in the header of each page and a new set of logos.

Hope you like it, and keep those pictures coming.

But anyways, I got your email and sent Skythe a message to ask him to remove your pic right away, I guess he's away on vacation or maybe busy. He's the host of the website so he's the only one that can do it. I am sure he will take your pic out as soon as he can, thanks for your patience.

As far as i know Skythe quit D2 when 1.10 patch came out. Dunno whether he still visits these forums.
