Very epic ... totally awesome, can’t wait for this game!
Apart from the announcement this was the highlight of the weekend for me. If these guys are coming to a town near you I’d recommend getting a ticket.
Goosebumpcity.
As for Orchestral music goes its fine, but ever since D2 Expansion pack they went the symphony route versus The Dark and brooding music of The original Diablo. I must say for a horror game this music isn’t mood setting in the slightest, for specific Epic battles its fine, but i must admit the symphony orchestra route just isn’t appealing as the original moody and darly troubling music or the original Diablo. If this new symphony music doesn’t do it for me i know why my first mod will be, changing the music to dark and brooding truely horrific music.
I agree with Ward!
Yep, the guitar in the tristram and caves themes Rocks m/
I don’t care who you are. If you didn’t get goosebumps from that, you can go and eat clay.
Whether the music should be in game or not is a different argument.
That score totally kicked my butt.
Well Sequitur thanks for that illuminating observation on us clay eaters. Were trying to make the point that ever since they decided to go the orchestral route and leave the moody dark and atmospheric music they used in Diablo it has greatly diminished the horror theme there striving for. When i think grand orchestra scores i think lord of the Rings or Star Wars not Diablo. Now for single incidental boss encounters or cinematic scenes etc some of these scores might be effective, but please Sequitur bring something more constructive to your posts then we can all "eat clay"
*sigh*
It wasn’t a personal comment. It wasn’t addressed to anyone in particular. There was no besmirchment of your honour intended.
It was merely a comment on the piece played by the orchestra, and how much I liked it.
My post was not about whether the music should be in game or not, and I made this clear by saying:
Whether the music should be in game or not is a different argument
Apologies for any inconvenience…
no problem thanks for the clarification
Truth be told, I love this music - and while I agree that there should be dark, ‘scary’ music in the game, I think its also important to have its epic scores - when your fighting a big boss, or particular dramatic moments - there has to be some mix of the two. Too much of the same same leaves the impression that you haven’t moved or changed anything - some areas should have sad music, others perhaps fast paced songs, maybe indicating a large battle.
