Video Games Live in San Diego during SDCCPosted 20 June 2010 by Flux
We first posted news about Video Games Live a couple of weeks ago. It’s a series of live orchestra performances of famous video game music paired with projected scenes from the games. Starcraft and Warcraft feature prominently in the online trailer, and the show is running on PBS stations all through the US this summer, starting in July.
But what if you want to see it in person? Well, good news. Another live performance will take place at the San Diego Civic Theater, Saturday, July 24, 2010. The date is significant since that’s during the San Diego Comic Con, when many video game fans will be in town already. Better yet, there will be some Diablo 3 music featured in this new show:
Video Games Live once again returns during Comic-Con week for one of their biggest and most spectacular shows of the year! VGL has been selling out and thrilling audiences each year during Comic-Con and this year is no exception. Come and see what the world has been buzzing about. This show takes place exactly one week before the national launch of the Video Games Live PBS Special, DVD/Blu-Ray and album launch!
And if you’ve seen Video Games Live before… fear not! Aside from the classics like Mario, Zelda, Chrono Trigger/Cross and Halo, there will be a ton of new content that has never been performed in San Diego including music from the Warcraft, Final Fantasy and Sonic franchises along with games like Shadow of the Colossus, Sonic, Frogger, BioShock, Silent Hill 2 and even games that haven’t been released yet such as Diablo III from Blizzard.
