Thousand Pound Ghostbuster?

A clever fan noticed the resemblance between famed Diablo III monster Thousand Pounder and the Stay-Puft Marshmallow man… you remember, the end boss from the original Ghostbusters movie? Bashiok photoshopped on a hat and bib, and voila; instant comedy. I combined the images and stuck it below, for your viewing convenience. I ain’t ‘fraid of no… sub-bosses?




Update: Later on in the same thread the conversation turned, as it always does, to the D3’s Secret Rainbow Unicorn Pony level, which prompted Bashiok to again show off his Photoshop skills with this homage to another classic film. The White Stallion.

Dan Akroid: “I couldn’t help it. It just popped in there.”

haha. If someone actually makes a game in that style (filled random gimmicks and gameplay types) I would be all over it.

I realize that this is a silly thing to notice, but that’s not a regulation rainbow.  As the old acronym goes, Roy G Biv.  Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.  That’s the color sequence of any light prism, including a rainbow, due to the length of light waves in the atmosphere, etc.  It’s impossible for purple to appear on one side of a rainbow, next to red. Nor is there an aqua color in the rainbow, between green and blue.

Clearly, teh pony level is haxored!

Although, I suppose you could argue that the purple is a splash effect from the overall magical blast of the rainbow ray. Still doesn’t explain the aqua stripe, though.
