RMAH is Live for Americas

Posted 12 June 2012 by Nizaris

Update: An official blog has been posted regarding the official launch of the service for the Americas. The fulls transcript is below the fold. The blog also reiterates points that were posted yesterday.

With the maintenance comes the introduction of the RMAH. When you first log in, many are reporting a grayed-out auction button. This is an intended side-effect of server load. There are current issues with the amount of use the RMAH is getting, and Blizzard is throttling access to reduce the strain. Some regions may not have been activated yet, but US RMAH is a go.

As if to put the nail in the coffin of yesterday’s hoax, the arrival of the RMAH after the first major wave of bans indicates the company’s confidence in the service.

Best of luck to all of you Diablontrepreneurs in America and don’t forget to check out the valuations forum if you are unsure of any prices.

Grayed-Out Auction House Button

To help reduce load and improve the overall stability of the auction house system, the game may temporarily limit traffic to the auction house during peak gaming hours. This is done automatically, and players may occasionally see a grayed-out auction house button as a result.

If the auction house button is grayed-out, please wait a few minutes and then try again. Alternatively, you may wish to enter a game and then leave, or log out and log back in to try again.

“Missing” Auction Items

We’re continuing to investigate latency affecting search results, active auction lists, posting auctions, and successful sales and purchases on the gold auction house, and hope to have all transactions running smoothly as soon as possible. Please note that while these issues may cause a temporary delay in having purchased items appear in your Completed tab, your items have not been lost. If you do not see your purchased items immediately, please wait and try again later. This also applies if you are experiencing difficulty transferring gold from your Completed tab to your character’s stash. Though your sales and purchases may not appear in your auction log, those transactions have still been recorded and should process within 24 hours.

Auction House Error 31073

Players will sometimes receive “Error 31073″ when attempting a transaction on the auction house. This is an intentional measure to help improve auction house stability by throttling the number of auctions that can be created at any given time. If you receive this error message when attempting a transaction you should wait a few moments and try again. While we understand this is an inconvenience, our goal is to ensure a more stable auction house experience for everyone.

The Diablo® III real-money auction house is now available in the Americas game region for the U.S. dollar, Australian dollar, and Mexican peso. With the real-money auction house, players will be able to buy and sell the loot they find in the game using actual currency via approved third-party payment services or using their Battle.net® Balance.

The real-money auction house for the Europe game region and the remaining Americas game region currencies (Chilean peso, Argentine peso, and Brazilian real) will launch in the near future. We are rolling out elements of the real-money auction house separately to ensure all of our players have the smoothest possible experience. We’ll have more information on the availability of the European real-money auction house and the remaining Americas currencies soon

To access the real-money auction house, click on the “Auction House” button on the left-hand side of the campaign screen, and then on the button showing your region’s currency in the upper right-hand corner of the auction house interface. This will switch you between the gold- and real-money auction houses. Latin American players will have access to trade using the United States dollar, Australia dollar and Mexican peso.

while i already sold my diablo3 on ebay some days ago, i still love coming here to lol hard about this game :D :D :D :D

  • Oooh, this seems to have come with it’s own anti-botting feature – there is now a game limit? People on the main forums are crying about “Input Limit Reached” if you join games too often.

  • Looks like there are no commodities yet. Is that true for others?

Also say I get money and I’m ready to cash out. Do I cash out to paypal? And then what? Will Paypal mail me a cheque? I wonder how many fees there are? I’m going to bet: 1. listing fee 2. cash out fee 3. Paypal depositing money to your account or sending a cheque fee.

    • Commodities are not enabled yet. It’s intentional and was announced in advance. The fees are all listed in the game interface when you put an item up for sale. It’s $1 plus 15%. Whatever you get after these fees ends up in your Paypal account. What you do with it afterwards is your business.

  • DUDE I JUST SOLD A STORMSH-

    Nope, still at work.

  • Classic. A Legendary belt that was listed at first for around $100, is already down to like $1.50 for a bunch more.. Get ready for farmer invasion and driving all the prices down to a worthless amount.

  • And this was how the (diablo) world ended. Not with a bang but with a dollar (AH)
