New Screenshots and Concept Art - January 8 Update

Blizzard has released five new screenshots showing off the Wizard, Barbarian and Witch Doctor in action, a boss and the ruins of Tristram we saw in the BlizzCon 2008 playable demo. Additionally, four concept art pieces have been released.

I guess I’m first.

The tristram one is Very nice.  That ought to shut up the people complaining about color.

Wait a minute.  Look at the one with the Barbarian.  He looks like he has slashes all over him.  Perhaps they appear when he takes damage.

i like the one of caldeum (or lut gholein??).

Wilson said already that this scars will appear when he takes a lot of damage

I agree that this city is too rich to be Caldeum.  This looks like Lut Gholein. Caldeum looks more primitive.  Mud-like buildings and surrounding-walls.

I think that city could be Ureh, the city of shadows. There’s a huge thread about it in the lore forum!

@ Medievaldragon: Have you seen all the Caldeum concepts? Some of those are insanely rich looking and it’s the trading capital of the world…

The city in the cinematic is bloody Caldeum =)

Dunno guys, that looks pretty much like a concept of Caldeum to me.

Looks rich and shiny and dome-roofed to me, not unlike this shot…
