One life to live: Prize for your Demise
Season 2 is only a matter of hours away. New characters are about to be born and in Hardcore it’s only a matter of time before they are taken away. As I mentioned in my last column, it’s with season two that we have a contest to coincide with your untimely departure from Sanctuary. For […]

Kevin Martens and Josh Mosqueira Blizzcon 2011 Interview

Posted 20 Nov 2011 by

Fmulder dug up another Blizzcon 2011 interview, this one conducted by Merlin’in Kazani and featuring DiabloWikiKevin Martens and DiabloWikiJosh Mosqueria. Kevin does most of the talking in this six-minute piece (Josh gets like, one console question) and supplies details about D3’s story, returning D2 classes, the DiabloWikiDiablo 3 Beta being too easy, expansion/DLC plans, and more. An approximate quote I transcribed quickly:

Kevin Martens: DiabloWikiPaladins are still around in Sanctuary. A lot has changed with them since the events of Diablo 2. I’m not saying they won’t make an appearance again, not necessarily as a player class, but we’re reserving their story for the future. And we will tell it at some point.

This was kind of amusing, since it came about 20 seconds after Kevin dodged a question about DiabloWikiexpansion and future DiabloWikiDLC plans plans by saying they were just trying to finish the first game and that they hadn’t given a thought to what would come next.
