Speaking of Hydras…

I’ve done some image analysis tonight, and it seems there is more than one thing under the ice.  Many things, actually.  Eyes. Heads. Because of how JPG compression saves details, you can actually make out a dozen or so yellow eyes with black pupils. 

Using the eyes as anchors, you can see the forms of serpentine/dragon-like heads of varying shape and clarity.  Incidentally, the skin of these heads is red.  It’s faint, but it’s red.

At first I had assumed it was a bunch of snakes, maybe a few dragons.  Then I saw your post here it and it just clicked: it would be very appropriate for them to literally unveil a hydra as homage to the project’s code name.

A hydra.  That would be awesome.

And I’ve been reading up on Hydra itself. Seems that the Hydra was one of the guardians to the Underworld for the ancient Greeks.
Or hell as we call it today.
That and a hydra has several heads, so it stands to reason that it’s a sequel with a higher number, like for instance: 3

Azymn: I’m sorry, but those "eyes" you are talking about seem more like simple artifacts to me.

WELL this is my image you’ll have to zoom to read the text maybe but i think i have 2 very good theories. anyways to start ill have you all know about the most recent patch released for diablo 2 that has a portal that takes you to tristram (only available in HELL difficulty) and you fight all 3 MAIN bosses (mephisto, diablo, baal) after you destroy the last boss he will drop the hellfire charm which is the best charm in the game. anyways i noticed the stat ON the charm that stuck out that was [Summnon a Hydra level 10]. i believe this to be related to the Project Hydra.

If you turn your monitor around to face the wall and turn the brightness all the way up, you realize it projects an image of james woods, who was in the animated hercules which featured a hydra. It’s so obvious now.
