An active and slightly acrimonious forum thread pointed me to this: a user-made video on GameTrailers with a few moments of gameplay contrasting the D1 warrior, D2 barbarian, and D3 barbarian. It’s not exactly a fair comparison, since we see the D1 and D2 chars at very low level, using no special skills, while the D3 WWI demo barb is unleashing his full arsenal of skills. But the graphical improvements and visceral impacts and game speed are fair to compare, and it’s hard not to be impressed with D3, by those metrics. The LQ version is embedded below. HQ version here.
