Diablo Movie Rumour

This post is just to notify the community that there has been rumours of a Diablo movie, as well as a Diablo movie trailer on the net that’s fake. This rumour is about the Diablo 3 Teaser Trailer, as was the case with the “Diablo 3 Demo”. There is not even a hint of a Diablo movie out at the moment, however much we want there to be one. :(

So, look out for obviously fake links when surfing. Don’t let the urge to see Diablo content overwhelm your senses. Always check with Diii.net first!

Don’t forget the infamous Street Fighter flick…. dear lord….
But there’s been some good movies…. like Final Fantasy Advent Children (it was action…. not much story, but it was decent nonetheless…) and um…. um…. um…. you know that one…. um video game film… um….. yeah….

Tomb Raider is probably the most notable, thanks to Angelina Jolie. Though I was personally traumatized by the awfulness of Wing Commander.

And you can’t just blame Uwe Boll. Actually, it seems to work both ways, since most movie/TV-licensed video games are also sub-par. Even a good license like Star Wars has a *ton* of crap in its name.

Thanks, didn’t know wikipedia had a list! I totally forgot about Hitman, btw, that was a great movie. Never played the game though.

@Reddimus… um, ya… I watched that last night, what a long, drawn out, boring, Lord of the Rings wannabe

Some of the actors/actresses… I can’t even believe they were attracted to the project

Let’s not. I don’t see the point, honestly. After seeing what they’re doing to Dragonball Z and what they’ve done to Resident Evil, I’m mostly against game movies. Games are a active experience. Movies are .. let’s be honest .. just very passive, in that sense - that is.

I would have a look at an official trailer though and decide after that if the movie would be worth checking out.

We’ll see how they treat the WarCraft movie, and then we have a measurement to how a Diablo flick might be.

About the Hitman movie.. I thought it was alright, probably because I’m a fan of the series since the first game. Though, I know a lot more people would like it if it stayed true to the original story (genetically altered + cloned).. he’s not really compatible with love interests either, except possibly Dianna. It’s a shame they change so many things from games to the screen. The voice actor of 47 in the games actually looks like him.. should’ve used him instead ;_;
