Randomization and level design in the future of Diablo 3
Creating good random map generators is a difficult task in video games, and something we’ve seen done with relative success in all of the Diablo games. Diablo 1 had four dungeon types with quite different maps for each area, though all were just big squares with different arrangements of the pieces within them. (The Hellfire […]

Diablo III Patch 2.0.2 – v2.0.2.22274 is Live Later Today

Posted 4 Mar 2014 by

A small patch with some bug fixes went in during the usual Tuesday morning realm maintenance… which has been extended until 2pm… err, 3pm. The patch notes are available, and can be seen below.

Diablo III Patch 2.0.2 – v2.0.2.22274

GENERAL

  • Experience requirements for Paragon 500 and above have been increased.
  • Disabled sound notifications for Clan and Community chat.
  • Bug Fixes

  • Gold can once again be purchased and sold on the Real Money DiabloWikiAuction House.
  • Items with the highest rank of “Critical Hits grant Arcane Power” affix no longer require level 61.
  • Level 60 Crafted Amulets now properly require DiabloWikiFiery Brimstone to craft.
  • DiabloWikiSokahr the Keywarden now reflects a more reasonable amount of damage with his whirlwind attack
  • The portal leading from the second Hell Rift to the Gardens of Hope 2nd Tier now functions properly
  • The experience bar has been removed from the Followers UI
  • The DiabloWikiSiegebreaker Assault Beast no longer performs other actions during his grab attack animation
  • Glad to hear the Act 2 KeyWarden has been nerfed in the insanely high damage his spinning reflect missiles did. Now that Wizard can do more than one build and Demon Hunters aren’t useless, those classes should be able to venture into the Dhalgur Oasis without risking instant off-screen death for everyone in the party.

Update #1: A bug with Follower spam on leveling up has been known-issued and will be fixed next time.

Update #2: The exploitable Leoric guaranteed drop on Reset Quests has been fixed and moved to Diablo, as discussed recently.

Update #3: The Leoric guaranteed drop is not yet fixed, actually. Nevalistis corrects herself. It will require a patch.
