Diablo III is Getting "Unique Needs" Satisfied on Battle.net 2.0

Posted 11th Sep 2008 04:52 PM by Leord

VG247 is continuing their milking of the Games Convention interview with Blizzard, by releasing a short comment about Battle.net 2.0 and Diablo III. Ironically information given by the StarCraft II team. While this isn’t news, a skilled way of putting an angle to the comments makes it so anyway. Fascinating stuff! This is what Pearce said:

[BLUE=“http://www.videogaming247.com/2008/09/11/diablo-iii-will-have-its-own-unique-needs-for-the-new-battlenet/”]Diablo III will have its own unique needs in terms of what Battle.Net provides.

The Battle.Net team is actually a separate group of engineers working on that functionality. So, they’re working with the StarCraft II team and they’ll be working pretty integrally with the Diablo III team as well.[/BLUE]

I have to say, the last time I heard of "unique needs" needing satisfaction, I found myself running down the street at 1:00 am with my shoes in my hand.

They talked about involving trade initiative through chat, so having central muling doesn’t seem far fetched. More info in the Diablo 2.0 article.
