Diablo Fan Art Watch #180: Archangels and Demon Hunters

Posted 16 February 2013by Holyknight3000

Welcome friends to the latest installment of the Diablo Fan Art Watch. This week I bring you four incredible pieces from around the community; so without much further delay let’s begin.

First up this week is an amazing and detailed art piece of Auriel Archangel of Hope by TamplierPainter. The detail and texture in the armor reminds me of the style of Pepperwolf‘s works as of late. The crisp feel and clarity overall makes this piece stand out.

Next up is an awesome piece featuring an old favorite in the fan arts; The Unburied by Staples. The lighting and detail in this piece make it stand out from many of the Unburied fan art pieces I’ve seen. I personally thought it was a 3D render until I saw his step by step painting process video for the piece posted here on diablo3.tv.

Following the demon we have the Demon Hunter in Hunted or Hunter by Caroline Gariba. This piece shows great detail in the armor and the hunter walking in the midst of the action and destruction around her.

Lastly we have a piece of Wallpaper Art of Leah by emperpep. In this piece it shows Leah in her study with tons of books during simpler times. Sadly a legacy of Cain that never lived on.

On a side note with Valentines Day yesterday a fan created a rendition of Archangel Imperius by crocodiledreams. This cute simple stylized image makes Imperius out to be an angry Cupid of sorts.
