I didn’t give that rumor a second of credence, as was probably apparent from my news post. But to be fair, nothing in this PR comment addresses the rumor. We knew Blizzard hadn’t made any official release or beta date announcement. The rumor didn’t say they had. It claimed to be leaking an internal release date, and this brief statement says nothing about that. It merely restates Blizzard’s no comment about Diablo III’s non-release date.

That said, Blizzard never addresses specific rumors of this type, so no one expected them to do so this time.

Unrelated topic here, so I was browsing diablo 3 official website. I click on the world tab and I found they have added music to it! is this new or this is old news?

Edit: I checked Caldeum as well it’s changed too. Creepy and oriental.

You are right that this news does not exclude that rumour, but it lacks right to exist on other grounds, namely all the stuff Flux said in the original post =P
