B.net D3 Beta Box Virtual Art Changed
Posted 9 August 2011 by FluxA couple of weeks back, some clever snooping fans found artwork for the D3 Beta virtual b.net box already uploaded to Battle.net. It didn’t mean anything, but it was fun to look at.
Today brings word that the box art is still there, but that a modification has been made to the visual, as you can see with the two boxes compared side by side below.

Why did they change the text? I guess you could mail the address and ask, but I’d guess they just don’t want the visual with the “beta” on it this far in advance of the test. Gives fans too much hope and excitement?

Those interviews have a lot of comedic value, cause Jay Wilson says uuugh … like uuuum … not really … uuuh … a lot. Especially the Barbarian one is rofl.

Yeah, it’s kinda funny but also annoying/sad since a lot of people tend to do that sort of thing nowadays…
Press and Media Contacts: North America: pr@blizzard.com maybe beta starts for press? (to compile personal reviews of diablo3)
Or they are simply toying with us, since they know very well that many people have been on the edge of their patience for the past few days. It’s nothing more than making additional hype around D3.
A taunting, “you don’t like it, tell us”?
Releasing some steam about no skillpoints, rmah, and forced internet at some poor clerk? :p
Except that sort of feedback is for the devs, whereas feedback for the PR department would be stuff like how they handle announcements or whatever…
Maybe it’s a puzzle for fans to send an email to PR@Blizzard.com to get into the beta. First 100 callers or something
Yeah some change, someone better inform that noob from Germany so he can update his photoshopped beta status page.
This email is for press and media contacts for north america: http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/press/presskits.html
btw I think they changed it back again
